There are also pickup of Raspberries, Boysenberries, Tayberries, Black Currants, Blackberries and Blueberries in summer.

The blueberries are ripe in Delta BC. It takes one hour from Vancouver BC by car. The blueberry bushes are short and give no good shade... we need the sunscreen and hats.

The Lower Mainland which includes Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley is a very significant blueberry, cranberry and raspberry growing region of Canada and indeed of North America and the whole world.
Riding the bus through the blueberry fields is the best way to se them aside from walking because you are much higher up than you'd be in the car or even a large SUV like the Hummer.

June 11, 2016 - An overcast day in Metro Vancouver calls for a little drive in the back roads of western South Delta, between Tsawwassen and Ladner. Join me on a trip through Port Guichon, along the Fraser River to Westham Island and the Reifel Island Bird Sanctuary. Next, a trip down the causeway to the Roberts Bank Superport, through the Tsawwassen Lands to Splashdown Park and the almost-completed Tsawwassen Mills Mall, and then back on Highway 17 towards Vancouver.
