Kangaroo Island Day Two
Day Two of our trip to Kangaroo Island Nove / Dec 2012.
Our First Trip to Kangaroo Island
This is a short film of our first ever road trip to Kangaroo Island, about 2 hours drive by car, south of Adelaide (South Australia). So many of our friends have spoken highly about this place, so we decided to go for a 5 day road trip and see for yourselves.
What you see in this video is just a taste of what you can see and experience on this magnificent part of Australia. Although Kangaroo Island is relatively small (4,405 square kilometres), there is so much to see and do, you would need many days to explore it all. With the convenience of a ferry, that also transports vehicles, we were able to take our own car. But we also joined a tour group on a coach bus. This was a great way to get around and see some unique tourist attractions, like Seal Bay and the Raptor Domain.
Apart from the natural beauty of Australian flora and fauna, we were very impressed by the people who live and work on the island. In many places there are varieties of agricultural production that is unique to Kangaroo Island. A lot of the food we ate was some of the best we ever had, and it was all locally produced. The people are friendly, kind and showed great hospitality.
All this filming was achieved with just an iPhone X with the aid of a DJI OSMO Mobile gimbal. This is my first ever film, and although it’s not 100% perfect, it has come out pretty good for a first attempt. I hope you all enjoy watching it and I would highly recommend going to this unique part of South Australia. It is definitely worth a holiday there and we look forward to going back again in the future to explore some more of this beautiful island.
