Emu Mountain Peregian Beach
Weather today was stunning, 28 Celsius, too good to stay inside that's for sure, so the dogs and me went to Emu Mountain to climb the hill to the top to take in the stunning views. Views to Coolum, Peregian Beach, Noosa Heads and all surrounding areas.
I sent the Drone up for a bit more of a view over the forest and beaches and for a Lap around Emu Mountain.
Movie was filmed with the GoPro Hero 6 Black and the drone was a DJI Mavic Pro.

Mt Coolum, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
About Mount Coolum
Mount Coolum is an isolated volcanic dome, 208 metres in height, roughly circular in outline, covering a plan area of approximately 1 square kilometre. Geologically, it is principally composed of sodium and potassium rich rhyolite with some sandstone surrounds. Potassium-argon dating gives and age of between 25 and 26 million years. One of the most notable features of the mountain geology is the striking columnar / crystal jointing patterns clearly visible both on the main cliffs and the faces of the disused quarry.
Although the geology of Mount Coolum is in itself quite spectacular, some of its most important aspects are not so immediately obvious. Ecologically, Mount Coolum is one of the most important square kilometres in Australia. The diversity of plant life within such a confined area is unequalled. The site has been intensely studied and over 700 plant types are now documented. This includes 590 flowering plants, 49 ferns and over 100 species of the lesser plants such as mosses, liverworts, lichens etc. By way of comparison, there are only 1400 species in all of Great Britain. Deserving particular note is the fact that the 49 ferns belong to 20 distinct families, some 40% of all fern families living on earth today. Psilotum Nudum, evolutionary the world's most primitive plant, is common. Two recently discovered species of trees are found nowhere else, and the area in general is unique in that numerous species find the limit of their distribution, be it in northern or southern, on Mount Coolum.

This is a short film of my journey up to the top of Mount Coolum in Queensland, Australia. It is located on the Sunshine Coast about 100km north of Brisbane.
According to Wikipedia: The mountain is a volcanic dome, roughly circular in plan with tall cliffs on the southern side. It rises abruptly from the coastal plain to a 208m peak, resembling the Glasshouse Mountains to the south. Mount Coolum is largely formed from 25 million year old rhyolite which forms regular columns and jointing patterns. A disused quarry occupies the eastern foothills of the mountain.

Bulcock Beach
We all know that Caloundra and indeed the whole Sunshine Coast is well known for tourism, and at the center of that tourism is our beautiful beaches.
How can we help get a greater return for our small businesses near Caloundra’s beachfront, while also increasing tourism? Why not think about bringing beach volley to one of Caloundra’s beaches and include nearby small businesses. This could create better return for our local business owners and bring more tourism dollars to Caloundra.
What are your thoughts? Do you have a great idea for Caloundra’s beaches?
Peregian and Noosa National Park
Another warm classic Winters Day on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
I took the dogs for a walk to our new area where we are about to commence building on our new land. Across the road is Noosa National Park and Wetlands, with various tracks to walk. The dogs and me had a ball in there on our walk, they had plenty to sniff and I had plenty to film. This really is a huge National Park and I have a lot more to explore, but today was so so peaceful in the forest and didn't see anyone during the whole time in there. I was able to release the drone on a couple of occasions to get the spectacular views of this area. You are able to see our House area, Coolum Beach, Mount Coolum, Peregian Beach and North to Sunshine Beach.
Please enjoy and come for a walk and adventure with me...and the Hounds...
Noosa Villages - Peregian Beach
Peregian is a friendly beach village popular for a relaxed holiday, with resorts and self-contained accommodation and a safe main beach that is patrolled year-round.
Take a break under the shady trees in the landscaped village square. The local shops and businesses overlook the square and include boutiques that specialise in hip clothes for the whole family, unique gifts, latest fashions and cafes serving great coffee and delicious treats.
Pick up local produce and crafts at the regular Peregian community market, held on the first and third Sunday morning of each month. Following the markets, soak up the sounds of the outdoor Peregian Originals concert where musicians perform their own, original material.
Book a table at a local restaurant or family-friendly bistro, find a spot for lunch in the beach foreshore picnic area or call in for a relaxed meal or drink with great views at the surf club.
If you're feeling active, why not cycle from Noosa to Peregian? There are sealed bike paths for most of the 7km journey along the coastline, or head for a surf or swim at the popular beach which is patrolled year-round.
Take in views to the coast and mountains from nearby Emu Mountain which can be reached via a moderately easy rocky walking path from Havana Road at Peregian Beach.
Located 15 minutes drive from Noosa Heads, Peregian is at the southern end of Noosa's coastline.
