The garden is widely known internationally and its unique design makes it one of Australia's major rhododendron gardens. Over 22,000 rhododendrons and other select plants set among 11ha with a series of countries from which the wild rhododendrons originate, within authentic built environments.

Mary Bosveld the Supergranny presents the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens. This beautiful Rhododenron Gardens is one of the major scenic attractions of Burnie, Tasmania. It is a stunning public garden on 13 hectares/32 acres & contains over 22000 select rhododendron. It has been developed on a 13 hectare natural amphitheatre and features: an American Gazebo, Japanese Covered Bridge, Cafe, Tea Room, Main Gazebo and more.
