Walking Tour of Rome In 1 Day! (DO’s and DONT’s, Info, Ticket Links)
Travel to a perennial city could be utterly puzzling for the first-time visitors. This 10 minutes video will endeavour to unfold the main attractions of Rome in a one-day itinerary.
The Eternal City, Rome is a romantic blend of the ancient with the Renaissance, animated with the treasures and masterpieces of architecture and culture. The beauty of this enchanting city sprawls across its vibrant landscapes. Add in to its enigmatic historical flavour, you will find a beautiful destination that my travel diary will help you discover and enjoy in all its glory.
Since Rome is a huge tourist draw, you have to plan your travel dates carefully when the air fares drops quite a lot at the onset of the shoulder season in early Autumn. I planned my journey in the end of July as the days are still warm, nights remain pleasantly cool. If you have limited time and you try to cram the city in a day running from one place to other and snapping furiously, you need to navigate through an optimal scheme which my video will guide you make the most of.
The perfect place to begin your walking tour in Rome is the Colosseum, a timeless emblem of imperial Rome. With a history that dates back over 2000 years, ruins of this ancient monument witnessed a historic combat of the gladiators and wild animals surrounded by 80,000 applauding spectators. My next stop was Trevi fountain, standing over the small cobbled avenue. The fountain is an iconic example of over-the-top Baroque sculpture and is readily recognisable from its appearance in classic films 'Three Coins in a Fountain' and 'La Dolce Vita'. Only 8 min walk from the Trevi Fountain is the Pantheon, a temple dedicated to the Roman Gods; commissioned by the great Emperor Hadrian between 118 to 128 A.D. The austere exterior of the Pantheon deceives its alluring interior having the oculus at the highest central point of the dome, which is acclaimed as the best preserved architecture from antiquity and a forerunner of all modern places of worship. My next stop was the Vatican City, the smallest state in the world. You can buy online tickets in advance for Vatican museum to skip a long queue and experience the splendid view of Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Square and Basilica within 2 hours greeting yourself at every twist and turn of the vibrant Vatican city.
DON’T’s:
1. Don’t forget to prebook your tickets prior to visit the enchanting city of Rome to skip the long queue.
2. Don’t leave your valuable things unattended.
3. Don’t go to restaurants close to the attraction sights. They have hidden charges and food are overpriced and of low quality.
DO’s:
1. Make sure you are wearing a comfortable foot pair while walking on the cobblestone streets of Rome.
2. Be aware of pickpockets in public transports (specially metro) and near the tourist attractions.
3. Please wear clothes that covers your knee and shoulder when you visit Vatican city.
4. Try to book your hotel closest to these attractions to live the entire city in a day.
However, if you are running out of time and miss any of these lasting reminders of the great majesty, just toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain before you leave and as the fiction has it, you will be blessed with another visit to Rome.

Guided Tour to the Colosseum (Rome, Italy) ????????✈️
#colosseum #gopro #rome #italy #travel
On August 4th, 2019, I visited the Colosseum in Rome, Italy with a guided tour and registered the highlights with my GoPro.
Why Go To Rome?
Rome, the city of seven hills, enjoyed a mythic beginning. Romulus and Remus – twin brothers who were nursed by a she-wolf and fathered by a war god – reportedly founded the Eternal City. And although historians are a little skeptical about this epic entry into the world, most travelers are absolutely certain that there is something magical about Rome. Whether it's the mystery of nearby Vatican City or the ghosts of the Colosseum, an afternoon caffè on Piazza Navona or a piled-high plate of pasta at a trattoria, Roma is sure to enchant.
Italy's capital city, Rome is also known for a history that dates back to the eras of Octavian, Julius Caesar, and Hadrian, among others. Left behind are structures like the Pantheon, the Roman Forum and dozens of churches, among other historic gems. Art enthusiasts will relish the trove of art housed at the Vatican Museums, and foodies will enjoy the splendid Italian fare, not to mention the gelato. And though its momentous past is the focus for many vacationers, Rome is also a fast-paced, modern and relevant city, with gleaming designer storefronts, sleek hotels, and cutting-edge restaurants.

Galleria Colonna - Rome Private tour - original music - RusRim.com Rome car tours
Music by Adel Karanov Colonna Gallery Private tour in ROME
The Colonna Gallery is an enchanting place: the art collection — paintings, sculptures, frescoes — perfectly fit in with the architectural structure of the Colonna family’s Palace which contains the imposing 17th c. Gallery. It is the best example in the city of art works arrangement within spaces purposely planned to house public expositions of family collections, in order to sing the family’s praises and riches. Time here seems to have stopped to the day of the Gallery inauguration in 1703, even if a cannonball on the staircase of the Palace, crashed here because of a target mistake on the day after the proclamation of the Roman Republic (1849), is the evidence of the passing of time. Take the list of the paintings at the entrance: remember that the works’ numbering follows the alphabetical order of the. artists (Albani is the number 1 while Veronese is the number 197) and not that of the works’ arrangement. The gallery and the collection were begun by Cardinal Girolamo Colonna around the middle of the 17th c. in the pre-existent family Palace, which overlooks Sts Apostles Square and continues in the garden ascending to Quirinale Square
