Here is a terribly structured wiki page for a brief history:
Enfield Square, formerly Westfield Shoppingtown Enfield Square, is an enclosed shopping mall that is located in Enfield, Connecticut. The mall is currently owned by the Namdar Realty Group. At 788,000 square feet, Enfield Square is the 10th largest mall in the State of Connecticut, containing 54 shops, all on one level. As of 2018, there is only a single anchor store: Target.
May Centers, the mall development branch of May Department Stores, built the Enfield Square, which opened in 1971, with three anchor stores: G. Fox, JCPenney and Steiger's. In 1993, G. Fox was converted to a Filene's store as a result of a merger. Steiger's ceased operations at the east side of the mall in 1994 when the chain went out of business. In 1996, the owner of the mall, CenterMark Properties, was acquired by the Westfield Group. On April 26, 1997, Sears opened in the space formerly occupied by Steiger's. In 1998, the property, valued at $50 million, was transferred to Enfield Square LLC and was rebranded as Westfield Shoppingtown Enfield Square.
In August 2000, JCPenney closed as a result of a nationwide closing of unprofitable stores. The space remained vacant until Filene's expanded operations by moving its men's and home departments there in February 2001. Target built a new anchor on the north side of the mall in October 2001. In 2006, both of the Filene's stores were rebranded as Macy's after yet another merger. Additionally, the Westfield Group sold the property to Brixmor Property Group (then known as Centro Properties Group US) for $80 million. In 2012, Brixmor Property Group hired Madison Marquette to manage the Enfield Square.
In January 2016, Macy's announced they were closing both of the locations at the mall as a result of a nationwide closing of unprofitable stores. In February 2016, J.P. Morgan Chase foreclosed on the mall after Brixmor Property Group (Centro Enfield LLC), defaulted on a $240 million loan taken out in 2006 for renovation purposes. On August 7, 2016, the Ruby Tuesday location at the mall closed. On December 28, 2016, Sears announced that it would close its Enfield Square location in April 2017 as part of a plan to close 150 stores nationwide which left Target as the only remaining anchor store. Party City moved their Enfield location into the mall in 2017. On April 25, 2017, Express announced that its Enfield Square location would be closed on May 6, 2017. In June 2018, KeyPoint Partners was chosen to manage the mall.
The property was sold by J.P. Morgan Chase through online auction company Ten-X.com on December 12, 2018 for $10.85 million, however, the buyer was not identified. On January 15, 2019 it was announced that the property was purchased by Namdar Realty Group.

Hampshire Mall - Raw & Real Retail
This is our walkthrough of the Hampshire Mall from January 23, 2019. This is a bittersweet tragic story where by The Pyramid Company finds itself with a dead mall on their hands, so they do what they think they need to do to stay current, they rip out any interesting architectural features and put in a lot of entertainment venues like bowling alleys, laser tag, go carts, etc. The food court was transformed into a sort of New Orleans type town center motif and while some might find this charming, I personally think it looked way better before.

Please do check out this excellent writeup from the Caldor Rainbor blog, it was done pre-renovations and has some excellent pictures of what the mall used to look like:
For brevity, here is the wikipedia article:
Hampshire Mall is a primarily one-story shopping mall with a small second floor in Hadley, Massachusetts, United States, with approximately 55 stores owned by The Pyramid Companies. Current anchor stores include Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, PetSmart and Target. The mall is home to Interskate 91 North, a roller skating rink on the second floor. Attached to the skating rink is LaserBlast: Ancient Adventure (a Lasertag facility that was formerly home to LaserStorm).
When the mall opened in 1978 it was anchored by JCPenney, Steiger's and Kmart.
The Steiger's store was demolished in 1994 for Media Play. The Media Play store opened August 10, 1995. Kmart closed in 2002 because of the chain's bankruptcy. In 2003 the former Kmart space was rebuilt and extended to house a Target store. Originally the mall contained a six screen movie theater that existed from 1978 to 1999. This was then expanded to a 12-screen Cinemark movie theater in 2000.
A 45,000 sq ft Dick's Sporting Goods store opened in early 2005, replacing a former Eastern Mountain Sports. Best Buy and Steve & Barry's replaced Media Play in early 2005. Steve & Barry's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2008 and subsequently closed their Hampshire Mall store in August 2008 and it replaced by the racetrack.
Walmart developers beginning in 2005 wished to build a new 212,000-square-foot Supercenter southeast of Hampshire Mall. However, there have been various hindrances as a consequence of a bylaw designed to keep out large stores by restricting new stores to 75,000 square feet. After two years of negotiations, on November 20, 2007, a subdivision plan that exempted the planned Walmart Supercenter from the current bylaw restrictions was approved. Developers have eight years to get a site plan approved before the exemption expires. This would almost certainly mean the current store, attached to the east end of Mountain Farms Mall, would close.
In February 2009 Buffalo Wild Wings opened a store between Target and Best Buy. The restaurant got into a dispute with the mall because of an alleged faulty roof that led to a buildup of condensation on the premises. The Pyramid Corporation did not agree to carry out repairs and as a consequence some amount of the rent was withheld. Whether the restaurant never paid any rent or did pay some rent is disputed. The case is currently in litigation. On July 29, 2010 they announced that they lost their lease as of August 1, 2010. The space is now closed. Platterpus Records closed down its store in March 2010. In June 2010 the store reopened in Easthampton, Massachusetts. In August 2015, it was announced that Best Buy would close their doors on October 31 and in 2016, Spirit Halloween opened in the former Best Buy space for 2 months.PetSmart opened in the former Best Buy space in April 2017.

Holyoke Mall: Vintage Aesthetics wins the day - Raw & Real Retail
This is our walkthrough of the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke, MA from January 2, 2019. This is a large, thriving mall originally designed by The Pyramid Companies that hasn't been renovated to death and still retains much of its 1970s charm. There is wood paneling galore, and the flooring architecture is more than just utilitarian, and showcases angles that catch the eye when walking. This is the sort of mall that feels really great walking around, and just hanging out doing nothing, soaking it all in.

Here is a brief history from Wikipedia:
The Holyoke Mall at Ingleside (a.k.a. Holyoke Mall) is a shopping center located in Holyoke, Massachusetts, in the city's Ingleside neighborhood. The mall features nearly 200 stores, a large food court, and several restaurants and is 1.6 million square feet.
The mall has four parking garages and used to feature unique architecture such as wood paneling, wooden benches, a dome with purple lights, a box-spiral staircase with holes that leads to the Café Square level, and a stone-shafted elevator. The mall underwent cosmetic upgrades in 2015, which included new floors, lighting, and benches throughout the mall. Located near the interchange of I-90 and I-91, the Holyoke Mall is one of the primary shopping destinations in Western Massachusetts and attracts many out-of-state visitors.
Anchor tenants include: Macy's, JCPenney, Target, Best Buy, Round 1, Hobby Lobby, Burlington Coat Factory, and soon to be Cinemark.
The mall opened in 1979 with G. Fox, JCPenney, Sears, Service Merchandise and Steiger's, as the original anchors. The mall was expanded (and slightly renovated) in 1991, adding an entirely new wing to the mall with a relocated G. Fox (later Filene's, now Macy's) being constructed at the end. At the time it was expanded, it was billed as the largest mall in New England. It is owned by The Pyramid Companies. Around this time Lord & Taylor announced a location to open at the mall by November 1993. Pyramid in 1998 proposed a 1,400,000-square-foot (130,000 m2) expansion that would have added a 20-screen cinema complex, but this attempt was blocked by the city. Lord & Taylor closed citing market conditions in early 2005. In August 2007 Apple opened a store. Pottery Barn and Sephora opened stores in the mall in 2008. Pottery Barn opened up in part of the upper floor of the former Lord & Taylor store. In April 2009, Forever 21 considerably expanded their store (it became a flagship store XXI Forever) in the lower floor of the vacant Lord & Taylor; the upper floor was subdivided. At the time it was the largest Forever 21 in Massachusetts. Sports Authority closed in 2016 after filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy. On November 28, 2017, it was announced that a Cinemark movie theater would be coming to the mall. In April 2018, the Babies R Us closed permanently. Forever 21 moved into a smaller space on the upper level near JCPenney and Best Buy on July 21, 2018. On August 22, 2018 Sears announced that its store would be closing as part of a plan to close 46 stores nationwide. The store closed on November 25, 2018.
