NDP's Bisson to Premier: meet with northern mayors about ONTC
QUEEN'S PARK -- Today in question period, NDP Transportation Critic Gilles Bisson called on the Premier to meet with mayors from northeastern Ontario to discuss government plans to sell off the ONTC.
Premier, you know that the mayors of northeastern Ontario have been wanting to meet with you in order to discuss the move to privatize of the Ontario Northland commission. Are you prepared, as Premier, to actually meet with the mayors, as per their request?
It's clear that what the mayors are asking for is not a meeting with your minister, because we know what the minister is up to. He's about divesting the ONTC and moving ahead with that particular initiative.
The mayors of northeastern Ontario, the people who have been elected in cities from North Bay to Hearst, have asked to meet with you because they represent the people of northeastern Ontario and those communities.
Premier: You're the decision-maker in your cabinet. You're the one who makes the decision. Are you prepared to meet with the mayors of northeastern Ontario as Premier? Yes or no?
I will pour out my Spirit on all people, sons/daughters wi
Joel 2 tells us of some amazingly supernatural times which lie ahead for all Christians. Are we prepared for instructive dreams, prophetic visions, our children revealing new prophetic information, seeing the wonders of heaven? My guts tell me that many saints do not have a tight doctrine in these Bible-promised mysterious areas of our faith. The following video clip starts you on the pathway toward a deeper and richer faith, the kind of faith it will take to embrace these divine communications from the Lord Himself. It is time to begin alerting the Truth seekers about these coming realities! Blessings!
Windigo: The Flesh-Eating Monster of Native American Legend
Don’t miss future episodes of Monstrum, subscribe!
This cannibal monster hunts during the coldest time of the year, traveling with the snow to terrorize humans with its insatiable hunger. Armed with sharp claws and teeth, and capable of running with incredible speed, the windigo, or wendigo, is a lesson in excess and a manifestation of the anxieties that emerge in the harsh realities of winter—and how to survive it.
Explore the symbolic interpretations of the windigo with Dr. Zarka as she explains how this Native American legend can teach us about the spiritual beliefs and social values of the early indigenous peoples of North America. #windigo #wendigo #cannibal #MonstrumPBS
A huge thank you to Dr. Will Oxford (Department of Linguistics, University of Manitoba) for his time and assistance with the various pronunciations and spellings of the Algonquian languages used in this episode.

Welcome to the Massey Area Museum
Welcome to the Massey Area Museum!
The purpose of the Massey Area Museum is to collect, preserve, research, and exhibit these objects which will serve to illustrate the settlement and development of the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers and Sagamok Anishnawbek, up to 1968, the year the museum was founded.
We recognize that understanding our local heritage is necessary to gain a better appreciation of community, province, and nation.
The Museum collects artifacts and documents that depict the area’s past in terms of the earliest native settlement, early exploration, and first white settlement, the part played by natural resources in our community (lumber, minerals, waterways), agriculture, education, religion, cultural achievement, manufacturing, trade and transportation, business and municipal political development.
The Museum provides for the preservation of such material as well as it possibly can, and for its availability to all who wish to see it.

Prospering in Persecution
The Bible indicates that times of trouble are ahead of us. And based on passages such as Matthew 24, we can see that those times are near. We also are told that those who choose to be faithful to Jesus in the final days of earths history will be persecuted. Are you preparing for that time? Have you even considered HOW to prepare spiritually? Listen as Jay Krueger explains...

For people who read print newspapers, political cartoons are often a staple of the experience. But for an increasingly large segment of the population who reads their news online, that is not always the case. Are political cartoons still relevant today? Should they be replaced with memes, tweets, or something similar? Would that really be so bad? We spoke with Bob Englehart, a Pulitzer prize finalist and a longtime former political cartoonist at the Hartford Courant, to hear his perspective.
