lansiya is being developed as a place where lovers, family, and friends can come together and spend valuable time bonding, playing, and relaxing. lansiya is private and exclusive. The bay has a couple of other exclusive villas, and a small ancient village adjoining it. The beach is considered crowded if there are more than five people on it. The area is still un-spoilt by development, and has an old world charm about it.
The ambience at lansiya is infused with the energy of the sea. The power and vitality of this place, as the waves dash against the rocks, is tremendous. The sunsets are incredible; the rainstorms are wild, and the full moon divine. The garden is an old coconut plantation, now gradually being converted to a gorgeous coastal garden. There is a wide variety of birds, and wild life that roam around the property. From the balcony you can watch birds of prey hunt, watch Mynas fight for bugs on the lawn, and Woodpeckers knock on coconut trees. Hare, peacock, mongoose and iguanas wonder around like they own the place. lansiya is a place to come re-charge your batteries, and feed your soul.
Lansiya Location
lansiya is located in the ancient kingdom of Ruhuna, 191km south of Colombo just before a small town called Tangalle. It is a four hour drive from Colombo, or a five hour drive from the airport. It is best to drive down at the crack of dawn.
Lansiya Accommodation
lansiya is fully staffed and catered. It has one master suite that can sleep a couple and a child. Another building a small distance away, has two more bedrooms that are suitable for older children and a nanny. The bedrooms have mosquito nets and overhead fans. Dining can be arranged anywhere, even on the beach.
Lansiya Facilities
The open-plan dining and rest area is a tranquil spot, possessing a tiled floor, half-a-dozen cane chairs, sofas, dining table and bar area. It lies alongside an infinity swimming pool which gazes down upon the bay. Anul, the in-house chef, who worked for many years in Saudi Arabia, provide an attentive service at mealtimes, producing a good selection of Asia-lite dishes which can be discussed in advance. Anul's mid-afternoon pineapple cake is another delight. For the rest of the day, they retreat to let you enjoy the villa in peace. Priyantha's coconut massage is also highly praised in the guestbook. There is a cold-water laundry service. A rudimentary coastal path encourages walkers, and you can stroll along the oft-deserted beach, where an occasional stray dog might be your only companion. Anul, the in-house cook, has two assistants, including his wife, Lakshmi, who provides a daily maid service, and two part-time gardeners. The staff does not work on a service-charge basis so tips are requested.

I have ranked the best beaches in the south of Sri Lanka to be 5.Tangalle 4.Bentota 3.Hikkaduwa 2.Unawatuna and 1.Marissa.
Like I say in the video although l am counting down to my favourite beach, my least favourite & favourite is only marginally apart.
I also mention Dalawella beach, jungle beach, whale watching & turtle rescues centre. Each of these beaches have something unique about them that make them all worth visiting.

Headed to Sri Lanka ????????? Want to get off the beaten path and see some of the more traditional Sri Lankan customs and their day to day lives on you own personal Tuk Tuk Safari?
Sri Lanka has become a hot bed for tourism. Travelers and content creators from all over the world have been flocking to this tropical destination in droves over the past two years to get a chance at capturing the now famous nine arches bridge in Ella, take a leopard safari in Yala National Park, trek out to one of Sri Lanka’s most coveted landscape Sigiriya.
Tangalle is located on the south coast of Sri Lanka Island. It is about half-way between the famous Galle fort and Yala National Park. It is one of the most popular routes and Tangalle can be a great spot to hang out for a day if you are taking the Colombo train to Galle and then headed to Yala.
We decided to take the Tangalle Tuk Tuk Safari tour to try and get a bit more up close and personal with the local life. We were thrilled to get a chance to experience the art of Sri Lankan pottery making, the cinnamon plantations and cinnamon cultivation, to taste the rich and spicy flavors of Sri Lanka curry and rice platters and to catch a beautiful sunset at Tangalle Beach.
As for the Tuk Tuk Safari team, we couldn’t have been happier with their hospitality and flexibility. They were an incredible multilingual team that had experience top of mind and had terrific attitudes. Big shout out to the entire team!
If you are taking the route from Galle to Yala don't miss Marissa beach, Weligama bay, jungle beach, the sunset bungie and Matara.

PARADISE IN SRI LANKA (+ the cost of a luxury resort ????) | Sri Lanka Travel Vlog #7
We finished off this epic journey with a couple of days down south in Tangalle and Negombo before flying home. We stayed at the Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle resort which was super fancy, before having a quick stop in Galle to see all the locals enjoy a cricket match before heading to Negombo!

Here we are, swimming in crazy big waves and empty beach in Tangalle, Sri Lanka.
The weather actually was not the best for beach time but we didn't care and just enjoyed our time with so much fun.
Sri Lanka is a hidden gem of South East Asia with amazing beaches, mountains, tropical forests, waterfalls and of course Ceylon tea plantations. Here you can also experience on of the most beautiful and craziest train rides in the world, that is definitely the must do thing in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is one of the best places where to start your travels in South East Asia.

Episode 24 - Sri Lanka - Tangalle to Colombo (& Malaysia)
SRI LANKA: TANGALLE & BENTOTA / MALAYSIA: KUALA LUMPUR
For our last days in Sri Lanka, we spent some time in the South of the island in Tangalle. Tangalle was a nice stop and we discovered beautiful beaches as well as a lagoon full of wildlife. The hotel we were staying at had canoes for their guests. We rode one double for more than one hour and were even able to see a big varan, swimming towards us (grrrr!). We were lucky that this one was still a baby as our hotel neighbours assured us to have seen several of them of 3 meters long the day before…
We then stopped in Bentota , the famous beach resort destination on the Western Coast but just for one night. We had to give our tuktuk back the next day and driving all the way through from Tangalle would have been too tiring. It was time for us to leave. We had a wonderful time on the island and will definitely keep all the good memories about the tuktuk, the wildlife, the food and of course people from Sri Lanka.
We hit Kuala Lumpur for only two days and enjoyed the city quite a lot. We came to Malaysia the first time in 2011 but weren’t too thrilled about the capital. This time we liked it very much, we were staying only steps away from Chinatown and could (re)discover the city and its famous Sino-Malaysian street food! We have just landed in Myanmar, but we will leave this for the next article.
WE DID SPECIFICALLY ENJOY
Tangalle: the very quiet atmosphere (it is off season now), the beautiful sandy beaches and exploring the lagoon on a canoe.
Kuala Lumpur: Chinatown! The street food stalls with dim sum and skewers of all kinds, with their unique finger licking bbq seasoning!
ACCOMMODATIONS
Tangalle: Asha Beach Resort & Spa, a brand new little hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. They offer ayurvedic treatments that come in packages, and the famous canoe ride included in each stay!
Bentota: Siroma Villa, beautiful residence with only two rooms, huge bed and superb amenities for a very cheap price, totally recommended!
Kuala Lumpur: Transit Hotel, what a great find! This is a 3* hotel that comes at a bargain price. It is close to everything, the staff is very courteous and the room was soooo comfortable! Actually we couldn’t resist and we booked it again for our next stop in KL next December…
RESTAURANTS
Tangalle: we ate at our hotel Asha Beach Resort & Spa as we booked the half board. The food was very well prepared and different every day.
Kuala Lumpur: the Chinatown steaming boats food stalls in Jalan Sultan street, great food, good price, nice staff.
