ENTEBBE GOLF
After hosting the Uganda Open in 2009, Entebbe Golf Club once again opened its gates to the country's biggest golfing event.
The par 71 course that was partly designed by Dan Nkata gave the legion of professional and amateur golfers a run for their money. Our sports desk took a look at the club's past and found it nothing short of compelling.

This as it looks to pass on some of the basics of the sport to girls from Maryland and Entebbe Junior schools.
Entebbe Club lady captain Ritah Apel believes the move will yield dividends going forward.

77th edition of Uganda Golf Open launched at Entebbe golf course
The 77th edition of the Uganda golf open has been launched Entebbe. The sponsors, Budweiser has given 400 million shillings for the two-week long event. The games start on 12th September with the ladies open, 18th Sept for the amateur open while the Pros open is set for 24th September.

Uganda golf open gets underway Wednesday in Entebbe
The Castle Lite Uganda Golf Open series has been launched. Now the series that will showcase action in the ladies, male amateurs and professionals ranks tees off tomorrow when the Uganda Ladies Open takes centre-stage at Entebbe Club. The series will climax on 29th September with professional golfers splitting a purse of 50,000 US dollars.

Singleton Golf Challenge kicks in Entebbe
The third edition of the Singleton Golf Challenge will ground to a halt tomorrow at Entebbe Club. The pair of Richard Lutwama and Robert Busingye will lock horns with Geoffrey Orach and Andrew Atuhaire at the 71 par Entebbe Golf Course.
There will be much more than bragging rights at stake as Entebbe Club’s Marvin Kagoro explains.
