Reykjavík, Iceland.
Counter_Point Project Space, 2019.
The performance---the act of shooting leftovers (expired chips) from an abandoned supermarket into a mini basketball-hoop/trashcan with a northern light printing---will explore how the transience of nature becomes enveloped in the disposable consumer economy.
_____
Counter_Point was a project space conceived as part of the MA Design Explorations & Translations Public Exhibitions programme at the Department of Design & Architecture of the Iceland University of The Arts.
Between the 26th and the 31st of March 2019, the MA Design Explorations & Translations and interdisciplinary guests took over an empty supermarket for a week of concerts, debates hybrid follies and post-consumerist rituals, as part of Design March 2019.

Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre Iceland Clothing & Accessories
Located by the old harbor between Reykjavík city center and the North Atlantic, the new Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, stands out as a unique landmark in continuous interplay with its surroundings. The design was influenced by Iceland‘s exceptional and dramatic nature. Situated on the boundary between land and sea, the building is a gleaming sculpture reflecting both sky and harbor, as well as the vibrant life of the city. The glass facade, which covers the entire building, was designed by renowned visual artist Olafur Eliasson (creator of the New York Harbor waterfall installation a few years ago). Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, the new home of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera, has four halls, the largest one accommodating up to 1,800 seated patrons. Smaller meeting rooms are located throughout the building and a spacious exhibition area is nearby. The Concert Hall and Conference Centre also offers state-of–the-art equipment for corporate meetings, in addition to catering services and parking spaces. In Harpa there are two restaurants, Smurstöðin on the 1st floor and Kolabraut on the 4th floor as well as Harpa Catering Service. Harpa shops offer a great range of music, Nordic design, books, flowers and other gift items. They include Epal, Sterna travel agency, Geysirland and Be Inspired. Guided tours of the building are available daily.

Reykjavik Centrum Hotel Reykjavik
This is really a magical property constructed with imagination and an eye for detail. The architectural and building conversion work have been done by a company well-known for its expertise in the restoration of historic Icelandic buildings. The hotel's location and historical provenance are arguably unbeatable. It comes highly recommended. It is light and airy because it is almost entirely constructed of glass, but it still radiates traditional charm. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, just steps away from all shopping, dining, bars, clubs and museums.Further information about this hotel will be available shortlyThe Hotel Reykjavik Centrum is set in converted historical buildings with modern additions, situated in the centre of Reykjavik within two kilometres of bars, cafes and museums. Johnny's Christmas video
I was fortunate enough to bump into Mr. Claus while holidaying in Iceland. He gave me a message for a very special friend of mine, Johnny O'Loughlin, who was taking part in the Late Late Toy Show 2015. I filmed it on the main shopping street of Reykjavik just after meeting Santa!
