Most Epic Maui Whale Watch EVER - part 2
Check out this close-up humpback whale watching encounter just off the shores of west Maui! Often referred to as a whale ‘mugging,’ these two guys were extremely fortunate to get the whale watch of a lifetime as they prepared to go scuba diving:
Filmed off of the coast of west Maui’s Lahaina Town, this video was captured from a 10 foot zodiac boat on an iPhone and a GoPro and is one of the closest encounters we’ve ever seen on film!
If you plan to travel to Maui, Hawaii, from the period of mid December to mid May, you’re just in time to witness the Aloha State’s favorite time of year: whale season. The 5th largest species of whale in the world, these majestic humpbacks make their annual journey from the shores of Alaska to Hawaii each year in order to mate, give birth and nurse their young in the warm, shallow waters surrounding Hawaii. On Maui in particular, humpback whales particularly seem to love the shallow and protected Au’au Channel, which lies conveniently between west Maui and our neighbor island of Lanai.
While chasing after humpbacks is strictly prohibited, it’s a truly memorable experience when they take the time to approach you instead! You can see these stunning creatures during whale season on Maui on one of many popular whale watching tours, whether by boat with Kai Kanani and Redline Rafting or by outrigger canoe, stand up paddleboard or kayak with Hawaiian Paddle Sports and Maui Kayak Adventures. Additionally, you’re often even lucky enough to spot them from shore while lounging at the beach! Just remember to always pull over, park and get out of your car if the sudden urge to whale watch while driving hits.
When viewing them from the water, you may even get lucky enough to hear the males as they sing, and witness the many playful behaviors they exhibit on the surface of the water, including fluke up and down dives, blowing, pec and tail slapping, spy hopping, head slapping and breaching.
Truly an unforgettable experience in Maui, we recommend whale season for new and return visitors to The Valley Isle. Aloha!

Waterfall Hike Haiku.Maui.Hawiii.
A local adventure known as the Commando Hike in Haiku, Maui, Hawaii. Safe & Sound Cover by Capitol Cities
Mountain Biking 10,000 ft. Down a Volcano in Hawaii
At the end of 2019, the Mrs. and I took a trip to visit family on Maui. Not ones to pass up the opportunity for adventure, we shipped our mountain bikes to the island as checked baggage (for free - s/o Delta), hitched a ride up to the top of Haleakala (the island's main volcano), and biked back down to sea level on a series of trails. The ride covered volcanic rock, loam, dirt, and admittedly, some asphalt, although we did our best to keep that to a minimum. Altogether it took around 3 hours and covered just under 10,000 feet of downhill.
The ride was epic, but in a different way than a ride like say, the Whole Enchilada in Moab is epic. While Moab's trails are loaded with jumps and features, a lot of the ride down Haleakala is over what could be described as primitive forest roads, although one short section, the Mamane trail, turned out to be some of the best MTB terrain I've experienced. What made this ride epic in its own way though was the setting - You start off on terrain you've likely never experienced before, above the clouds, with helicopters and bi-planes flying around *beneath you*, and then bomb 10,000 feet of downhill through a variety of ecosystems, all while surrounded by open ocean on all sides. Probably one of the most unique rides in the world.
Shout out to BKXC for the inspiration:

Hawaii is one of the most amazing places on earth, and Maui confirms this.
We were so impressed by the beauty of this island wich has a lot of places untouched by human. You have to rent a nice car and enjoy the Road to Hana experience, it will take you a full day and your driving skills will get tested a lot but it’s a amazing life experience, it’s a must.
Garden of Eden is also a incredible place, the beauty of this place cannot be compared to anything else, you can see a lot of incredible trees like the rainbow tree, the 100 years old mango tree or the Keopuka rock (Jurrasic park was filmed here).
Wailua valley is also a impressive place where you can see just how dense the vegetation is here in Hawaii.
Paiia hwy is one of the best roads I’ve ever had the chance to drive on!
Kaanapali beach is one of the best beaches in Hawaii so you definitely have to go there and enjoy a full beach day!
All in all we can say that Maui as well as Oahu cannot be missed if you are planning to travel to Hawaii!

Hawaii's Most DANGEROUS Places to Visit!!
People dream of Hawaii vacations. Who doesn't want to take a trip to paradise? But Hawaii also has some of the most dangerous and scariest places to visit, including some that are SO deadly...they are illegal!
Join Zero2Hero as we visit Honolulu, the Haiku Stairs, the Spitting Caves...and more!
Don't forget to subscribe!
Watch out where you swim! Here is a list of newly discovered, creatures of the sea!!
Aloha! When most people think of Hawaii, they think of beautiful honeymoon destinations or interesting culture. While that’s mostly true, it’s also important to respect the power of nature, in all of its beauty, because it can turn on you in an instant. Find out exactly how many of these places in the Hawaiian Islands are so deadly that they are illegal to even visit!
Number 9: The Toilet Bowl.
In Hanauma Bay, the deadliest beach in Hawaii, there is a very unique and very dangerous tourist attraction…the Toilet Bowl swimming hole. This natural swimming hole was formed over many centuries as waves continuously crashed against the lava rocks that make up the coastlines of Hawaii. The waves pour into the pool with great force through a hole in the lava rock, but then the water is sucked back out the hole as the waves retreat. This phenomenon is what gave the pool its name, as the water rushing back out through the hole in the rock resembles a flushing toilet. The area of the Toilet Bowl is on a very treacherous coastline, and the trail leading to the pool is dangerous to walk along. The whole area is usually closed off due to several people having drowned or seriously hurt themselves while trying to swim the toilet bowl.
Number 8: Stairway to Heaven (Haiku Stairs)
The Stairway to Heaven, or Haiku Stairs, is a treacherous hiking trail that spans along the mountain range of Oahu’s Ko’olau. It is a steep and dangerous wooden stairway that totals 3,922 steps. It was originally built as an access trail by the US Navy to reach a top-secret radio facility that was used to contact ships operating in the Pacific Ocean. Although the area has been officially closed for some time, there are many hikers who do not take notice of the warning and no trespassing signs, as they want to be able to say that they climbed the Haiku stars.
To try and increase security around the stairs there was a guard stationed at the bottom to stop people before they start the climb, and in a one year period, during 2014, it was noted that 11 hikers got arrested for trespassing and were landed with a hefty $1,000 fine. And the reason it’s closed? Many deaths and injuries have occurred to hikers who have attempted this climb over the years.
Number 7: Kalalau Trail.
The Kalalau trail is thought to be one of the most incredible hiking trails in America. It is found on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, and takes the hiker through the natural wonder of the Na Pali Coast. It is a 22-mile hike that takes on a variety of different terrains and challenges such as wading through streams and balancing along tiny paths set into the steep cliffs. There are many beautiful things to see on this hike, just two miles in you’ll find the beautiful Hanakap’ai beach. Then, four miles in, is the breath-taking hanakapai waterfall. Going on beyond that point, though, things get much more dangerous. Areas of the trail, such as the infamous ‘Crawlers Ledge,’ are risky and dangerous for anyone to attempt, the tiny paths on the edge of the red clay cliffs are crumbling and slippery and the area often attracts heavy winds. There have been noted deaths on this trail, from hikers falling from the ledge paths down the cliffs, some 300 feet toward the ocean.
Number 6: Spitting Caves.
The spitting caves, at Portlock Point, Honolulu, are an ‘off the beaten track’ tourist spot, popular among the adrenaline seeking dare devils among us. The cliffs that rise up over the caves are a popular area for cliff jumpers to seek their big thrills. Sure, it can be said that any cliff diving spot is dangerous, but the spitting caves provide extra danger that is truly deadly. The way the current of the ocean flows, there are moments when the waves and swell get sucked dramatically into the caves with a loud bubbling, then whoosh back out again, back into the tide.
If the jumper does not time his flight just perfectly, they could get sucked into the cave with the current and slammed against the rocks before being spat back out into the ocean. The drop itself is around 55-feet and, even without the dangerous swells into the cave below, the jumper has to jump in at the right spot to avoid hitting any rocks on the way down. At least 7 deaths have been noted from attempting this cliff jump since November 2000.

Secret Beach Party with GoPro Hero 3+ ~ Maui, Hawaii

Get your GoPro Hero 3+ here :
Every once in a while you have to take a break from life and just go chill on a beach, which is exactly what we did this past Wednesday. Secret Beach is one of our favorite beaches, it's mostly nice and calm and practically empty as you have to walk just a bit away from the mainstream to find it. After setting up the GoPro Hero 3+ for a killer time lapse it was off to play Frisbeer (aka Beersbee) and relax good and hard until the sunset took our breath away. A quick photoshoot on the beach during the Golden Hour and we called it a day.

Island Experience Kauai | Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
AN ISLAND SCULPTED BY NATURE
Aerial tours of Kauai’s most astonishing natural wonders
Kauai is a natural masterpiece. For over six million years, the powers of nature have been sculpting and reshaping Kauai, creating some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Appropriately named the “Garden Isle,” the island of Kauai is draped in lush green valleys, towering sea cliffs, thick jungle vegetation, winding rivers and gorgeous cascading waterfalls.
Without a road encircling the island, many of Kauai’s most stunning sights are inaccessible by land. Among these remote scenic attractions is the famous Na Pali coast, spanning 17 miles along Kauai’s North Shore and boasting 3000 ft. sea cliffs and valleys. Then to the Southwest is the Waimea Canyon, coined the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” With so much to explore, a Kauai helicopter tour is truly the only way to experience all of Kauai’s most epic scenery.
