The Episcopal complex with its grandiose architecture, including a complex of rooms and an extremely rich artistic decoration - wall paintings, mosaics, stone-decorative elements is the most representative building dominating the city in the late antique era.
These features make it one of the largest and most interesting archaeological sites in Southwest Bulgaria.
The complex is part of the Archaeological Museum in the city.

Το Σαντάνσκι
(βουλγαρικά: Сандански, πρώην γνωστό ως Σβέτι Βρατς μέχρι το 1949) είναι πόλη και παραθεριστικό κέντρο στη νοτιοδυτική Βουλγαρία και ανήκει στην επαρχία Μπλαγκόεβγκραντ. Έχει πληθυσμό 26.959 κατοίκους (2012), έχει πάρει το όνομά του από τον επαναστάτη Γιάνε Σαντάνσκι και βρίσκεται σε κοιλάδα στους πρόποδες των Ορέων Πιρίν, στις όχθες του Ποταμού Σαντάνσκα Μπίστριτσα. Το Σαντάνσκι βρίσκεται περίπου 20 χλμ. από τα Ελληνοβουλγαρικά σύνορα.

The most representative and important monument of early Christian art and culture, from the IV-VI century. The Basilica is a classic Hellenistic three nave building with interior architecture in Roman Corinthian style, magnificent mosaics in style tesalatum Opus and Opus sectile” and gorgeous interior architecture with columns in the Roman Corinthian style, unique marble altar wall with pictures of scenes from the gospel, preserved pulpit and antriy. The main object in the basilica, which underlies the whole composition of the building is the naos. It has an unusual, almost square shape and size is 22/23 m. It consists of three ships. In the early Christian period in the central nave a pulpit was been put. From the IV century pulpit is where singers and priests lead their preachings. From the pulpit the Gospel and other sacred books were being read.

Bitola
Bitola (Macedonian: Битола [ˈbitɔɫa] ( ) known also by several alternative names) is a city in the southwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. The city is an administrative, cultural, industrial, commercial, and educational centre. It is located in the southern part of the Pelagonia valley, surrounded by the Baba, Nidže and Kajmakčalan mountain ranges, 14 kilometres (9 miles) north of the Medžitlija-Níki border crossing with Greece. It is an important junction connecting the south of the Adriatic Sea with the Aegean Sea and Central Europe. It has been known since the Ottoman period as the city of the consuls, since many European countries have consulates in Bitola. According to the 2002 census, Bitola is the second largest city in the country. Bitola is also the seat of the Bitola Municipality. Bitola is one of the oldest cities on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. It was founded as Heraclea Lyncestis in the middle of the 4th century BC by Philip II of Macedon. During the Ottoman rule the city was the last capital of Ottoman Rumelia.
