Ermones Corfu: Ermones is a beautiful beach located 18 km west of Corfu. It consists of sand and pebbles, ideal for all tastes and it is mostly characterized by its crystal clear waters. Ermones is much preferred by the lovers of diving and the experienced swimmers as a unique diving centre operates at the beach offering a fascinating underwater experience. The beach is boarded by hills and vast vegetation, a unique combination that attracts many visitors. A few sunbeds and umbrellas are found at the beach. A walk along the shore reveals smaller bays which are ideal for total privacy. Taverns and cafes are found in the wider area. Ermones is a nice alternative for quiet and pleasant vacation. Several hotels are located right behind the bay itself.

Ermones Beach, Corfu : One Afternoon
ERMONES beach is located in the west part of the island of CORFU, Greece. It is 15 kilometers from the town and the airport.
It is a small bay and a holiday resort. There are hotels, two tavernas and a local bar in this area. It's perfect for relaxing holidays as it's a calm and quiet place. It's also perfect as a strategic place for your holidays as it is close to the MUST SEE places in your holidays!
The family hotel Hotel Philoxenia is located there, so discovering the island of Corfu and then going back to your hotel's pool for some rest and a nice Mojito watching one of the most beautiful sunsets of the island sounds good right?
This video was taken from a side road that starts from the beach of ermones and goes along the sea. At the end of the road you can see a small beach called antipsos. This beach is only accessible by boat which you can hire right from Ermones if you need to relax by having some private moments in the nature.
Finishing, I suggest watching a sunset in Ermones to be in the list with the things to do in Corfu. :)

Ermones is a rocky beach which is situated on the islands busy western coast. Surrounded by impressive hills and vegetation, the beach offer some spectacular views for you to admire under the glare of the Greek sun. The sea is relatively calm here which makes for good swimming conditions to enjoy, but visitors are warned to be wary of the rocky formations which are found in the water.

CORFU - The Rugged Beauty of Ermones Cliffs
Wanderung Ermones Korfu Kapelle aus dem 17. Jahrhundert
In der Nähe des Kiesstrandes von Ermones Beach finden wir auf einer Anhöhe eine kleine Kapelle aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um eine reine Wanderung. Jedoch könnte diese Kurzstrecke auch als Wanderung auf den Bergkamm ausgedehnt werden. Trittsicherheit sind hier dringend zu empfehlen UND ein aufmerksames Auge und natürlich Ohr. Wie man in dem Video sehen kann, gibt es immer wieder Erdrutsche in der Gegend. Der Weg zur Kapelle führt über einen schmalen Pfad, auch schon einmal an der Steilküste entlang. Ungefähre Koordinaten laut Google Earth: 39.611901, 19.776351
