Ernesto Workshop Santorini
Ernesto Workshop was established in 2005 in the old market of Fira city, the capital of Santorini. The idea was to create a unique style of design and craftsmanship that would differ from everything available in the art community of Santorini.
The concept of Ernesto is innovation and imagination. These two words are perfectly depicted on each and every object that is exhibited at Ernesto Gallery.
Ernesto workshop creates unique, handmade pieces of functional and decorative art made from genuine leather, natural wood, sterling silver, copper and other natural materials such as stones, pebbles and tree branches. The combination of carefully selected materials, our imagination and skillful handwork produces the objects displayed in our Gallery and from now on, in our permanent web based exhibition. We wish to certify that we have worked hard to capture a piece of our passion for handmade art into each and every object we create...

Venezuelans in Barcelona hold rally
(2 Feb 2019) Hundreds of Venezuelans gathered in central Barcelona on Saturday to express their support to lawmaker Juan Guaido, who declared himself interim president of Venezuela last week.
Demonstrators in Barcelona carried banners in favour of Guaido and against President Nicolas Maduro, urging the latter to resign.
Meanwhile in Venezuela, momentum is growing for Venezuela's opposition movement led by Guaido, who has called supporters back into the streets for nationwide protests on Saturday, escalating pressure on embattled Maduro to step down.
A defiant Maduro's socialist government has called on its own loyalists to flood the streets waving flags to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bolivarian revolution launched by the late Hugo Chavez.
The dueling demonstrations will play out amid a political standoff in its second week of heightened tensions - and with the potential to spark violent clashes between the opposition and security forces.
Guaido declared himself interim president last week before tens of thousands of cheering supporters and vowed to end Maduro's dictatorship.
His claim to the presidency is backed by the United States and some two dozen other nations.
According to the International Organization for Migration, the Venezuelan diaspora has skyrocketed from 695,000 in 2015 to over 2.3 million by last year.
The number of people born in Venezuela who live in Spain has jumped from 165,000 in 2015 to 255,000 last year, according to Spain's National Institute of Statistics.

Scenic walk in rural Drakensberg, South Africa
While basing ourselves in Northern Drakensberg for several days we stayed on a lovely property (Amphitheatre backpackers) that branched off to an airstrip, river and isolated tree. After spending a bit of time in Johannesburg it was the perfect scenic retreat. These days I'm starting to feel more in touch with my roots and quiet remote areas are more appealing to me than sprawling cities.

Scenic walking in rural Drakensberg, South Africa Travel Video Transcript:
So, good morning. Today we are in Northern Drakensberg. We've been staying at a really cool hostel called Amphitheater backpackers. And they have a little hike that you can do just outside of their property. So we're just over at the gate right now. We're going to head out and do a little bit of exploring on foot.
It's a beautiful morning. We witnessed the most amazing sunrise yet again. And now it is time for a bit of exercise.
We're at a crossroads over here. Big tree this way. Big Dam that way. Oh, which way will we go? Okay, this way. It is decided. Big tree.
This is like falling the yellow brick road. Come on, sing it for us. Follow the yellow brick road. Follow the yellow brick road.
So we are at an another crossroads. We can go towards the airstrip or towards the river. I think we're going to choose the river just because it is starting to get really hot. I've already started taking off several layers. And we're running out of time. And some water would be nice.
I really enjoyed this walk. Sometimes it is great to just get off of the beaten track once in a while and just relax.
And that concludes our little walk around. I think it is time for a cold beer.
This is part of our Travel in South Africa series. We're making a series of videos showcasing South African culture, South African arts, South African foods, South African religion, South African cuisine and South African people.
