Places to see in ( Boise - USA )
Boise is the capital city of Idaho. The Boise River Greenbelt is a series of tree-dotted trails and parks hugging the water's edge. In an art deco building, downtown’s Boise Art Museum has contemporary works and an outdoor sculpture garden. The grand, sandstone Idaho State Capitol Building is nearby. The Old Idaho Penitentiary contains 19th-century prison cells and gallows, plus historic military weaponry.
Today Boise is sometimes seen as the eastern enclave of the Pacific Northwest, or the western enclave of the Rocky Mountains, or both, depending on who you ask. Downtown Boise and the North End neighborhood offer a PNW feel every bit as strong as anything in Portland or Seattle, while suburbs such as Meridian and Nampa steadfastly cling to the decidedly self-reliant ethos of the Intermountain West.
Boise is located in southwestern Idaho, about 41 miles (66 km) east of the Oregon border, and 110 miles (177 km) north of the Nevada border. The downtown area's elevation is 2,704 feet (824 m) above sea level. Like all major cities, it is composed of several neighborhoods. These include the Bench, the North End, West Boise and Downtown, among others. Downtown Boise is Boise's cultural center and home to many small businesses and a few mid-rises. While downtown Boise lacks a major retail/dining focus like Seattle, Portland, and Spokane, the area has a variety of shops and growing option for dining choices.
To the south of downtown Boise is Boise State University and its surrounding environs. The area is dominated by residential neighborhoods and businesses catering to the student population. The North End, generally defined as the part of Boise north of State Street, contains many of the city's older homes. The Boise Highlands is located just north of the North End. Its location is generally defined as north of Hill Road, East of Bogus Basin Road. Its neighborhood is mostly filled with homes constructed in the 1970s, as well as a golf course/country club known as Crane Creek.
Southwest Boise contains sparsely populated neighborhoods built from the 1960s to the early 1980s. Northwest Boise lies against the Boise Foothills to the north, State Street to the south, the city of Eagle to the west, and downtown Boise to the east. It contains a mix of old and new neighborhoods, including Lakeharbor, which features the private Silver Lake, a reclaimed quarry. Warm Springs is centered on the tree-lined Warm Springs Avenue and contains some of Boise's largest and most expensive homes. The far-east end of Warm Springs was once known as Barber Town, featuring a hotel with hot springs nestled into the foothills. Southeast Boise spans from Boise State University to Micron Technology. The Bench, generally bounded by Federal Way to the east, Cole Road to the west and Garden City to the north, sits on an elevation approximately 60 feet (18 m) higher than downtown Boise to its northeast. West Boise is home to Boise Towne Square Mall.

I. THE READINGS
Working with the various readings we have done in class I am in the midst of trying to situate how each one fits, differ and work together. I have found that each of these readings belongs to different topics and therefore I have situated them with these topics to help make connections. The topics are as follows:
1. The Writing Center as a place: Essentially the reason for the centers existence and where and why it does what it does.
READINGS: William McCall, Peter North, Lunsford
2. Writing Center pedagogy: debates on what and how to teach writing and consultant and tutor roles and how they differ. How does the idea operate?
READINGS: Jeff Brooks, Healy, Bruffee, Shamoon and Burns, Singley and Boucher, Kolln
3. Academic Roles: How does the center enhance the campus it belongs to? What does the writing center serve to do for the campus? What mandates must the center and its employees meet to be most effective for the sake of academic quality?
READINGS: Bringhust, Sherwood, Healy, Wingate
4. The writing consultation: How does this look and how does it need to be approached? What outside forces affect the consultation?
READINGS: Chapter3, Chapter 4, & Chapter 8 of BGWT, Greiner, Harris, Sloan, Brooks, Bell, McKinney, Murphy & Hawkes, Rafoth, Breuch & Clemens
5. The Writer: Who utilizes the Writing Center and how are they different and unique?
READINGS: ESLW
II. MAPPING THE READINGS
In order to map the connections between the readings and how they serve I plan to make a series of movie previews for each topic. Some of them will overlap and some will pull out unique traits. Each will serve as a way to shed light on different topics that I found to be most interesting and useful for my ability to work in the center. I will introduce the series of previews and then they will all play in a row as if the audience were at the movies. Each preview will be around one to one-and-a-half minutes.
Here is where I will expound on the ideas and give my audience a view of my reading map. I have broken these into several genres and they will serve different purposes for that reason. Genres and titles include:
MOVIE TITLE
GENRE
READINGS
The Writing Center
Documentary
Topic #1*
The English 102 Patient
Drama
Topic #3,5
Rhetorical Grammar
Adventure
Topic #2
The Consultant
1950’s Spy
Topic #4
I Can’t Help This Writer
Horror
Topic #4,5
The English Learner
Romance
Topic #4.5
Email Consultations
TBA
Topic #4
*Refer to the first page for topics
Bolded titles have been completed
It is my goal to create more topics and find a way to bridge each movie preview together. Because the previews will create mostly action based on the text read I want to find a way to create connections and find a way to verbalize some of the information after each preview. This could simply be a slide that explains what readings I drew my information from and map out the thinking towards the assignment.
III. CONCLUSION
The conclusion of this project will wrap up any thought towards the texts. Yet, the previews are aiming to act as a quick anthology of all the readings that we discussed and went through during the semester. I hope that it is a clear and concise project and that my ideas make sense to my audience.

This 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bathroom Wilderness Ranch Home is very private and relaxing! Come enjoy the elk deer! 2 story home located on 23 acres with 1600 SF barn with 4 stalls, 2 fenced pastures, and round pen. The Living room in this 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bathroom Wilderness Ranch Home has 6 large windows which shows the magnificent views, upper & lower wrap decks, & downstairs bedrooms & family room have private access. Mud room off garage, house & decks are newly stained.
Bring your family and your Horses!! Move in Ready! This is a 2 level custom built home with Cedar Siding exterior and new carpeting & tile throughout. The interior is rich with maple wood. The elevation of the home is 3,700 feet overlooking the valley below and the upper main level provides a breathtaking view. The house has full southern exposure. The Great Room and Master Bedroom are located upstairs with a full bath off the master with a claw foot bath tub. Located in the Great Room is a wood burning stove. Downstairs are two bedrooms Jack and Jill style. Between the bedrooms is a full bathroom, double sinks and shower/tub combination. Both bedrooms have an exit door to the lower deck and walk in closets. These bedrooms are large enough for Queen Beds and have two built in counters that can be used as desks. Also Downstairs is an Office / Den. It has a wood burning stove and another outside exit door to the lower deck. Outside of the Office is a Therapeutic Spa running over 75 jets and three pump motors. Off the Office is a storage room. Downstairs is an indoor laundry room finished with a sink and cabinets. The upstairs has access via stairs near the garage on the outside of the home, or through the garage. Outside is a 1,600 Square Foot Barn with four professional large stalls, waterers installed and rubber matting for the horses. This is a pole barn, completely finished on the exterior with cedar siding so it matches the house. In the barn is a 50 Amp circuit and water. Outside the barn are two fenced pastures, and below the pastures there is a round pen. The property is hardly touched, and with some work could easily accommodate several pastures. The CC&R's on the property allow two horses per acre, so a maximum of 46 horses can call this property home. The drive into the property is on a dirt road. The dirt road goes for 3 miles before reaching the house. This is the last home at the end of the dirt road, so it is the most private location on the ranch. The closest neighbor is about a mile away. The property is surrounded by National Forest Land and approximately 600 Acres of the Wilderness Ranch Wildlife Reserve, so there will be no future building to spoil the view. There are riding trails with no traffic on the dirt road. There is a fire road that goes from the house to the water treatment plant and Mores Creek. There is also a natural creek that flows in the winter on the south side of the property. Within a 15 minute ride you can launch your boat in Anderson Reservoir. Its about 25 minutes to Lucky Peak. Other Information: Local Internet is provided by Wildwisp. The connection is provided by a newer technology and is comparable to DSL. VPN's work well and local website hosting is available. Wildwisp includes a static IP with their service. Dirt road is maintained and plowed in the winter by the Wilderness Ranch HOA. Wilderness Ranch is home to many residents that want to escape the busy city life. The ranch is a great area for viewing all sorts of wildlife. Elk and Deer thrive in this area. This area of Idaho is the largest Deer and Elk Migration country in the United States Northwest. There is no light pollution so you can see the stars and constellations clearly at night. During the day you have a great view of the valley and wildlife. Mores Creek is within 1/2 mile and is great for fishing, with Anderson Reservoir about 4 miles away. Lucky Peak Recreation area is about 10 miles to the south, and the gold mining town of Idaho City is just 7 miles to the north. Year round Nimaway Ranch has lots of activities nearby. If you like, to hike, ride horses, snowmobile, hunt or fish this is the great area of Idaho that you would like to be in.
