Places to see in ( Nimes - France ) Esplanade Charles de Gaulle
The Esplanade Charles de Gaulle is a major part of the city of Nimes , in the department of Gard . It is located between the station and the arena of Nîmes , extending the Feuchères Avenue to the district of Écusson. The creation of the esplanade dates back to the first half of the xvi th century , when the Consul Jacques d'Albenas seeking to fill the city with a platform for the exercise of the artillery . The space then laid out south of the door of the crown is also used for official reception figures visiting the city.
If some modifications are made to the xvii th century , it was not until the xix th century that the square becomes a place to walk. In 1841 , the municipal council Nîmes decided the development of the Avenue Feuchères as well as that of the esplanade, including its upgrade with the current boulevard of the liberation. New semicircular alleys are then lined with trees, flowers and balustrades. These developments end in 1851 with the inauguration of the monumental fountain of the sculptor James Pradier.
From 1968 to 1971 , an underground car park is located under the esplanade. A hopper is created for access to this car park. It was abolished in 2010 , during Operation Arènes-Esplanade-Feuchères. The complete redevelopment of the esplanade is then led by architect Alain Marguerit. Designed as a real garden open to the city, the new space is inaugurated on April 7 , 2012.
The contemporary esplanade represents a space with a total area of 3 hectares. The central element is the Pradier fountain , which represents in allegorical form the city of Nîmes, surrounded by four major rivers in the Nîmes region. A large triangular space in stabilized surrounds the basin. To the south lie benches, lawns, Mediterranean plants and trees, as well as pergolas covered with bamboo . Several kiosks, including a branch of the tourist office , punctuate the ensemble. A channel of 1.40 m width also begins its race then takes the avenue Feuchères, to arrive in front of the station. To the northplane trees. Several major buildings surround the esplanade, including the arena to the west, the courthouse to the north or the Sainte-Perpétue church and Sainte-Félicité to the east.

HELLO ???????? !
My name is Louis Simoens - - Vallois, I am a student in landscape architecture in Belgium.
Today, I’m glad to be in Erasmus in Florence, in Italy.
In order to write my thesis, I need all of you.
HOW?
I work on several public spaces, fourteen to be precise, it is a large-scale project, especially for the time I have.
These spaces are located in many cities around the Mediterranean basin: in France, Spain, Italy and Morocco.
Your mission, if you accept it, is to go to one of these sites, with a smartphone or a camera...
NEXT!
It's simple, in each of the targeted cities, there is a public space where you will have to go, I'm just asking you to take a picture of it.
This photo will represent your vision of the place, or what is important to you in this space.
It will allow me to understand how you experience it, but also to see how many people use this space at a given time (if you can specify it).
It will then have to be sent to me, either using the flash codes that are already present in these different spaces, or via the Facebook group or the Instagram page.
If you are not planning to travel soon, you can still join the movement: by spreading the information, it is the power of social networks.
The spaces in question are visible on this map : bitly.com/2VwzzUc

We are all actors of the public space, thank you for your help.
HELLO ???????? !

centro storico tutelato rivela i suoi ricami, là ancora, appaiono colonne
romane in uno specchio di vetro... A Nîmes, le ricchezze sono a portata
d'occhio e di sogno.
Sfogliando questo documento, entrate nella nostra storia. Lasciatevi
trasportare.
promuovono Nîmes a livello Europeo.

Places to see in ( Montpellier - France ) Musee Fabre
The Musée Fabre is a museum in the southern French city of Montpellier, capital of the Hérault département. The museum was founded by François-Xavier Fabre, a Montpellier painter, in 1825. Beginning in 2003, the museum underwent a 61.2 million euro renovation, which was completed in January 2007. It is one of the main sights of Montpellier and close to the city's main square, the Place de la Comédie. The museum's national importance is recognised by it being classified as a Musée de France by the French Ministry of Culture.
The town of Montpellier was given thirty paintings in 1802 which formed the basis of a modest municipal museum under the Empire, moving between various temporary sites. In 1825, the town council accepted a large donation of works from Fabre and the museum was installed in the refurbished Hôtel de Massillian, officially opened on 3 December 1828. Fabre's generosity led others to follow his example, notably Antoine Valedau who donated his collection of Dutch and Flemish masters to the city. On the death of Fabre in 1837, a legacy of more than a hundred pictures and drawings completed the collection.
In 1864, Jules Bonnet-Mel, an art collector from Pézenas, bequeathed 400 drawings and 28 paintings. In 1868, Alfred Bruyas offered the works from his private gallery to the city. He is credited with having moved the museum collection into the modern era. In 1870, Jules Canonge, from Nîmes, gave a collection of more than 350 drawings. A legacy of Bruyas of more than 200 works completed his gift in 1877.
In 1968, Mme Pierre Sabatier d'Espeyran (fr) in accordance with the will of her husband, a diplomat and great bibliophile, gave to the city their hôtel particulier Hôtel de Lunas (fr), built under the Third Republic along with its contents. Around 2001, the Library moved out of the complex, freeing a sizeable area and offering the chance to carry out a major modernisation and enhancement of the building. This took four years and included a whole new wing. The building re-opened in February 2007.
