RAEAPTEEK - Tallinn Town Hall Pharmacy, Oldest in Europe | Ратушная аптека - старейшая в Европе
Town Hall Pharmacy (Raeapteek) is the oldest in Europe that has continually operated in the same premises. It was first mentioned in town records in 1422, when an apothecary by the name of Nyclawes was summoned to a session of the town's rulers; however, he was at least the third apothecary to have served Tallinn... It is also the oldest commercial enterprise and the oldest medical establishment in Tallinn.
The first known image of the Town-Hall Pharmacy is an oil painting by Oldekop, showing Tallinn's Town Hall Square in 1800. The first photos of the building date from 1889.

Living in Estonia. Surprisingly Smooth.
Morning snowshoe hike + swimming in the bog + pancakes (in Estonia)
Very minimalistic video without any monologue/dialogue. Since we do not have snow in Estonia this winter, I will carry on with summer activities :)

Genetically profiling entire populations, starting with Estonia
Tonu Esko talks to ecancer at EAPM 2017 in Belfast.
He spoke about the use of genetics and genomics to drive personalised medicine on a large population scale.
Although it is an expensive task to genetically profile every citizen, he believes it is a possibility, especially in smaller countries like Estonia.
If this were the case, it would be much easier to diagnose disease, and would cut costs in the long run.
Estonias are aiming to achieve this with 50,000 people already fully profiled, and by next year it will be 15% of the population which is a huge step forward.
If it works in Estonia, in due course it could work elsewhere.

In 4K City Walks: Tallinn Estonia's Medieval Old Town - Virtual Walk Walking Treadmill Video you will walk through the amazingly preserved Medieval heart of Tallinn Estonia. Amazingly preserved streets and alleyways wander in a senseless morass of a labyrinth but that just make it more enjoyable. The old city walls still surround most of the old town. 40 ft high, they tower above you as you walk. The area bleeds history. From the market square and town hall to the Kiek in de Kok museum and the various cathedrals, including the onion domed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the city welcomes you with its enchanting embrace. How's that for poetry. I walked in the morning on this one and I had to try twice since I accidentally lost the footage from the first try. I also used my Sony with a wide angle lens to capture the tall buildings in the narrow streets. I hope you enjoy this walk. Tallinn, Estonia is a great city with lots to offer. This video is one of five that will be released over the next few weeks.
Thanks.

Oodyswe and Sgt Tristan on a Estonian AA Gun.
So when me and Jessica arrived in Tallinn we later met up with Sgt Tristan and his Lady for the first time and had a awesome time. They took us to a museum called Lennusadam Seaplane Harbour where they had all kinds of old estonian planes, guns and even a U-Boat from 1938. Then we found this AA gun and it showed up that we could spin it around so me and Tristan had a go at it ^^. Thank you Tristan for the awesome time in Tallinn! Cheers! Sgt Tristans channel :

4K City Walks: Tallinn Estonia's Kodriorg Park - Virtual Walk Walking Treadmill Video we take you on a tour of Kodriorg Park. One of the largest parks in Tallinn, Kodriorg began as the grounds of the Tsar's palace. Walking through the park you will find many flower gardens, fountains, paths, ponds, a Japanese Garden, the Czar’s summer palace, playgrounds, museums, and a wonderful little cafe built in the former gatehouse with the best almond croissants I’ve ever had. The park is incredibly peaceful and between the Song Festival Grounds, the sea, and Kodriorg Neighborhood.
From VisitEstonia.com
Kadriorg Park is the most outstanding palatial and urban park in Estonia, covering around 70 hectares. Its construction began in 1718 on the orders of Russian tsar Peter I. Elements of park design from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries can be seen here.
The most popular places for a stroll in the park are the flower beds surrounding the Swan Pond and the promenade leading from there to the president's palace.
There are a number of museums in the park, including KUMU (the Estonian Art Museum), Kadriorg Art Museum and the Mikkeli Museum, as well as monuments to such cultural figures as sculptor Amandus Adamson, author F. R. Kreutzwald and artist Jaan Koort.

28.11.2019 - Uuendatud meremuuseum on saanud juurde mitu uut ruumi.
Täna avatud värskendatud Meremuuseum Paksu Margareeta tornis on laienenud. Juurde on tulnud väikese torni külastusvõimalus väravakaarest ja koolitusruumid. Tänu suurimale eksponaadile - keskaegsele kogele ehitati muuseumile üks korrus keldrisse juurde.
