Museum of Peja
This traditional style ‘konak’ house, known as the Konak of Bey Tahir, dates from the eighteenth century and holds a bijou collection of ethnographic artefacts as well as reconstructions giving a sense of the elegance of city life in Kosovo in the past. The colours and craftsmanship of textiles, metalwork and carved wood glow in the old rooms.

Singing to the accompaniment of the Gusle
UNESCO: Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - 2018
URL:
Description: Singing to the accompaniment of the Gusle – a simple string instrument – is an ancient art of performing primarily heroic epics. Performances are carried out by soloist artists (guslars) and involve a complex form of interaction between the audience and performer. Covering a wide range of topics, from archetypal motifs to historical themes and modern life, the songs reflect the community’s value system. Local organizations are assembled around the Union of Guslars of Serbia, which has established the Festival of Young Guslars and the Assembly of the Young Guslars of Serbia.
