Sa Granja (Video-2), Mallorca, Spain
La Granja, a historical property located in the Esporles municipality, is well known since the roman times because of the important flow of water of its spring. The moors, that dominated the island from the X to the XIII centuries, settled in the area and founded the Alpich farmhouse. Later, when King James I conquered Mallorca, he divided the island in four parts and Count Nunyo Sanç settled in the property.
In 1239, Nunyo Sanç gave La Granja to the Cistercian monks who founded a monastery there. Two hundred years later, the monks sold the property to the Vida family, later the property passed to the Fortuny family, who finally sold it to Cristòfol Seguí Colom, current owner of the estate. Nowadays La Granja is open to the public and holds an ethnographic museum. La Granja has spectacular gardens with fountains, ponds and giant trees.

The Canary Islands 2014, El Hierro
How wonderful to change winter to summer (just for two weeks, but still)! It was a great experience getting to know El Hierro, the smallest inhabited island among the Canary Islands.
The Eco-Museum is in the valley of Valle del Golfo, at the foot of the cliff known as Risco de Tibataje. The guided route through caves, volcanic tubes and other lava phenomena shows us how the original settlers, the Bimbaches, lived and how the houses and household goods have evolved from the times of the Conquest through to the present day. Each of the houses reveals different aspects of the traditional architecture on El Hierro where stone and compacted hay are the basis of the building materials. These houses, together with the multiple crops to be found hereabouts, are a monument to the History of the Island.
This centre, inside the Guinea Eco-Museum, was set up to raise lizards in captivity. The Plan for Re-introduction of the giant lizard, galliota simonyi, was adopted since it was the most endangered reptile in the whole of Europe and one of the five animals most in danger of extinction in the world. Through to 1974, it was actually believed to be extinct. However, it was then that a herdsman ran across a few on La Fuga de Gorreta. The plan for re-introduction has made it possible to gradually free some of the reptiles raised in captivity in the places where they have been seen to congregate.
The Ethnographic Museum: La Casa de Las Quinteras
The visitor is afforded a vision of the ethnography of the island, distributed over four rooms that are devoted to different workshops: the blacksmith's, the weaver, the woodworker and the earthenware worker. The Centre also offers part of the important ethnographic collections of the Cabildo or Island Council of El Hierro.
In parts of El Hierro they have a tradition of rams hunting at Carnival. These are people dressed in sheepskins and rams' heads, with bells on their waists who chase the children around.

Instead of spending your holidays in a hotel, experience the Spanish islands in a different way! Choose a Yacht Charter!
Day 1 Palma to Puerto Andratx
Palma is an ideal location to begin your Balearics yacht charter. Once you get acquainted with your boat crew, cruise to the fishing town of Puerto Andratx and Portals Vells. Both locations are ideal for water activities like swimming and diving. You will be arriving at the harbor of Andratx in the evening, just in time to have some tasty tapas and try authentic Spanish seafood specialties for dinner.
Day 2 Es Vedra’s Island
The second day of our Balearic Islands yacht charter cruise to Port Portinatx, a lovely bay with a white sandy shore and picturesque landscape. You can enjoy the views of the boathouses located on the left banks or take a dip in the turquoise blue waters. The next stop is the famous caves at Es Vedrá, a place associated with dozens of legends and mysteries. This fabulous spot is a favorite among many tourists and locals alike and the most popular legend is that this natural reserve is the third most magnetic place on planet Earth.
Day 3 Formentera Island
Located just off the coast of Ibiza, Formentera often referred to as the last paradise of the Mediterranean, this charming island is well-known for its white sand beaches, lack of urban development, and easy-going atmosphere. Thanks to its exquisite reefs and underwater caves, Formentera is also an excellent dive location.
Day 4 Cabrera National Park
On the fourth day, it is recommended to leave early in the morning and sail to Cabrera, a lovely national park with a total of 19 small islands surrounded by breathtaking bays. Visit the ethnological museum, go on a hike to the lighthouse, or admire the rare species of fish and corals. You will also have an opportunity to see various plant species here, as well as endangered animals like whales and turtles.
Day 5 Cuevas del Drach
Located on Mallorca’s eastern coast close to the small town of Porto Cristo, these limestone caves boast truly astonishing colors and formations. Inside the cave, you will find the amazing Lago Martel, the largest underground lake in Europe which was discovered in 1986.
Day 6 Puerto Soller Fishing Port
The sixth day of our yacht charter journey is dedicated to the northern coast of Puerto Soller, one of the most beautiful fishing ports in the Balearic Islands. This small coastal village is famous for its large bay and the lovely lighthouse that offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. If you are in the mood for more sailing, we can go on a trip to one of the neighboring bays like Sa Calobra.
Day 7 Puerto de Valldemossa and Cala Banyalbufar
The small fishing port of Valldemossa is a perfect place for sunbathing and swimming. The waters here are crystal clear, and there is plenty of opportunity for snorkeling. In case you get hungry, try fish and other seafood specialties at the Es Port restaurant. Our next stop is the small village of Banyalbufar which is situated in a small bay and inhabited by just 500 residents. One of the main features here is the fabulous mountain stream, which creates a huge freshwater shower. You can also do some snorkeling since the bay is home to several caves.
Day 8 Disembarkation in Palma
On the last day of our yacht charter itinerary, we are returning to Palma. Before you pack your bags and head out to the airport, make the most out of your visit to Palma and explore its numerous cultural attractions including the 11th century Arab Baths, Bellver Castle, La Seu Cathedral, Contemporary Art Museum. In case you are already missing the beach, Palma’s city beach should also be included in your travel itinerary.

Cantabria
Cantabria is a Spanish historical community and autonomous community with Santander as its capital city. It is bordered on the east by the Basque Autonomous Community, on the south by Castile and León, on the west by the Principality of Asturias, and on the north by the Cantabrian Sea.
Cantabria belongs to Green Spain, the name given to the strip of land between the Bay of Biscay and the Cantabrian Mountains, so called because of its particularly lush vegetation, due to the wet and moderate oceanic climate. The climate is strongly influenced by Atlantic Ocean winds trapped by the mountains; the average annual precipitation is about 1,200 mm.

SUMMARY
=======
The Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples (Latin: Congregatio pro Gentium Evangelizatione) in Rome is the congregation of the Roman Curia responsible for missionary work and related activities. It is perhaps better known by its former title, the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith (Latin: Sacra Congregatio de Propaganda Fide), or simply the Propaganda Fide.
In principle it is responsible for pre-diocesan missionary jurisdictions (of the Latin rite) : Mission sui iuris, Apostolic prefecture (neither entitled to a titular bishop) Apostolic vicariate; equivalents of other rites (e.g. Apostolic exarchate) are in the sway of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches. However many former missionary jurisdictions -mainly in the Third World- remain, after promotion to diocese of (Metropolitan) Archdiocese, under the Propaganda Fide instead of the normally competent Congregation for the Bishops, notably in countries/regions where the Catholic church is too poor/ small (as in most African countries) to aspire self-sufficiency and/or local authorities hostile to Catholic/Christian/any (organized) faith.
It was founded by Pope Gregory XV in 1622 to arrange missionary work on behalf of the various religious institutions, and in 1627 Pope Urban VIII established within it a training college for missionaries, the Pontificio Collegio Urbano de Propaganda Fide. When Pope Paul VI reorganized and adjusted the tasks of the Roman Curia with the publication of Regimini Ecclesiae Universae on August 15, 1967, the name of the congregation was changed to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. The early Congregation was established in the Palazzo Ferratini, donated by Juan Bautista Vives, to the south of the Piazza di Spagna. Two of the foremost artistic figures of Baroque Rome were involved in the development of the architectural complex; the sculptor and architect Gianlorenzo Bernini and the architect Francesco Borromini.
The current Prefect of the Congregation is Cardinal Fernando Filoni. The current Secretary is Archbishop Protase Rugambwa. The current Secretary (and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies) is Archbishop Giampietro Del Toso The Under-Secretary is Father Ryszard Szmydki, O.M.I. The Archivist of the Archives of the Congregation is Monsignor Luis Manuel Cuña Ramos. Monsignors Lorenzo Piva and Camillus Nimalan Johnpillai assist as Office Heads of the Congregation.
