Rag Rug Workshop
Historically, rag rug making was simply an easy and cheap way of re-using worn out clothes to provide a little comfort and warmth in the homes of most poor people. It could so easily have died out completely, but now rag rugs are seen both as an environmentally friendly form of recycling, and as an art form in themselves. Jenni Stuart-Anderson has been studying and making rag rugs for over 25 years, and regularly holds workshops where she passes on the skills and craft of rag rug making to many others.
In this fascinating DVD we join Jenni at just such a workshop. The basic techniques are so simple that little time is spent explaining them. More important are the hints, tips and experience she is able to pass on, as well as the very real enjoyment to be had from sitting with a group of friends and chatting whilst exchanging ideas and knowledge - just as our ancestors once did.
So join our workshop and see how, with a couple of simple tools, a bit of hessian and some old clothes, you too can begin to make unique and attractive items of home decor whilst immersing yourself in a pre-industrial revolution activity that may even seem to draw the spirits of your forebears to your side.
The full length DVD and Jenni's two beautiful books about Rag Rug making are available at trapletshop.com

About CBS’s Hawaii Five-0
CBS books a new version of the classic Hawaii Five-0 series, with Alex O'Loughlin in the lead role as Detective Steve McGarrett and Scott Caan portraying Danno. The detectives are part of an elite task force whose mission is to eliminate crime on the beaches of the Aloha State. Assisting McGarrett and Danno are Capt. Lou Grover, who formerly headed Hawaii's SWAT unit; Jerry Ortega, the islands' local conspiracy theorist; and Tani Rey, a bold, recent police academy graduate. The brash unit spar and jest among themselves but remain determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the nation's 50th state.
About CBS’s MacGyver
Young war hero Angus `Mac' MacGyver has an extraordinary knack for unconventional problem solving and an extensive bank of scientific knowledge that he believes can best be put to use saving lives, both of which come in handy when he creates a clandestine organization within the United States government to tackle high-risk missions around the world. Working under the sponsorship of the Department of External Affairs, MacGyver quietly prevents disasters with the help of former CIA agent Jack Dalton.
About CBS’s Magnum P.I.
Thomas Magnum is a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum has Juliet Higgins and her Dobermans to keep him in line, as well as his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors T.C. and Rick when he needs backup on a job. With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is on the case.

Michael Wearing - The Tenant of Wildfell Hall - 1997 Peabody Award Acceptance Speech
Winner 1997 | WGBH-TV, Boston, Massachusetts, BBC, London, England
Adapted by David Nokes and Janet Barron from Anne Bronte’s 1848 novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall presents an exquisite and moving drama about a woman attempting to free herself and her small son from an abusive marriage. The production stars Tara Fitzgerald as Helen Graham (the “tenant” of the title), with Rupert Graves as her dissolute spouse, Arthur Huntington, and Toby Stephens as Gilbert Markham, the young Yorkshire farmer who falls hopelessly in love with Helen. Their superb acting is made more magical by the moving camera of director Mike Barker and the lavish locations and settings provided by producer Suzan Harrison, under the inspired leadership of executive producers Kevin Loader for the BBC and Rebecca Eaton for WGBH. With The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, the BBC and Mobil Masterpiece Theatre continue to provide audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with the very highest quality in television drama. For so doing, a Peabody Award.

Bald Explorer Meets John Eaton in Ashurst
Today I am in Ashurst in West Sussex. It's a small village north of Worthing and close to Steyning. I am at the beautiful church there to meet John Eaton, 91, who has lived in the village all his life. I am curious to learn his memories of village life and how he made national headline news.

Exploring Monkmead Wood and golf course in West Chiltington
Today I have teamed up with Cynthia Julian to explore a short piece of woodland that leads to a manicured golf course, hidden away from sight in this area of West Sussex inhabited by large houses and millionaires.
We are in Monkmead Woods in West Chiltington where soldier camped in the second world war and fairly recently a grenade was discovered by a dog walker. Sadly for us, the weather turned nasty and we had to stop filming, but we managed a few hundred yards through the heather and sand. I hope you enjoy it.
