ఎండాకాలంలో ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లాలన్నా వెనకడుగు వేస్తాం. ఉష్ణతాపంతో ఇంటిపట్టునే ఉంటాము. ఎండాకాలంలో కాస్త ధైర్యం చేసి జయశంకర్ భూపాలపల్లి జిల్లా ఏటూరునాగారం అభయారణ్యంలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తే... ఎండవేడి మనకు తగలకుండా మానులే మనకు గొడుగు పడతాయి. వడగాలి తగలకుండా పచ్చని చెట్లు అడ్డుగా నిలుస్తాయి. దట్టమైన అడవి మధ్యలో తాడ్వాయి దగ్గర అటవీశాఖ ఏర్పాటు చేసిన వనకుటీరాలు.. చల్లని నీడనిస్తాయి.

release of sloth bear without tranquilizer
A sloth bear during a rainy dark night fell into a well the villagers next day with the help of a cage and ropes pulled it out and the forest department took initiative of releasing it in the wild .
the real challenges that were faced by the forest department were the lack of tranquilizers and the bear was very powerful and mature enough to kill a lot of people and cause masacre.
Mr. syed maqsood mohiuddin , forest range officer at pasra range took the initiative of releasing the bear into the wild it was a grave risk due to the lack of tranquilising equipment eventhough the bear was released in eturnagaram wildlife sanctuary (in warangal dist. of A.p India) successfully without any collateral damage.
while the bear was being released this incident was witnessed and recorded by the staff at a dangerously close distance. the staff were sitting on top of a lorry carrying torches
Beautiful Paddy Fields in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary
Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary located in Eturnagaram village in Jayashankar district in Telangana, India. It is located 250 km (160 mi) away from Hyderabad.
Telangana has splendid wildlife reserves, one of such is the Eturnagaram wildlife sanctuary, which is 100 km (62 mi) from Warangal. The sanctuary is located near the Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana border. It is one of the oldest sanctuaries of Telangana. In the year 1952 on 30 January the erstwhile Hyderabad Government because of its rich bio-diversity declared it as a sanctuary.
The land is undulating from steep slopes to gentle slopes from west to east. Three-quarters of the area consist of a plain while the rest is hilly with many streams and springs. Godavari river passes through the sanctuary. The vegetation here is tropical dry deciduous with teak and other trees of good quality standing 60 ft (18 m) and above. The biennial festival of Sammakka Saralamma Jatara is held in the sanctuary.
Flora and fauna
Flora : The sanctuary has southern tropical dry deciduous type of teak and its associates like thiruman, maddi, and bamboo, madhuca, terminalia, pterocarpus.
Fauna : A perennial water source called Dayyam Vagu, divides the sanctuary into almost two halves. It is home to Tiger, Leopard, Wolf, Dholes, Golden jackals, Sloth bear, Chousingha, Blackbuck, Nilgai, Sambar, Spotted deer, Chinkara, Indian giant squirrels and many kinds of birds. Reptiles like Mugger crocodile, Python, Cobra, Krait, Star.

Warangal, the erstwhile capital of the great Kakatiya Kingdom which ruled during 12th- 14th century, is presently an ushering industrial and cultural centre in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The Warangal city is credited as the fifth largest city in the state and has the historical legacy of being known as Oruguallu or Omtikonda or Ekasilanagaram mainly due to the existence of a huge hillock seems to be carved out of one stone.
It is assumed that the Prola Raja of great Kakatiya Kingdom built this beautiful town in 12th century and given the incredible status of the Capital city. The Kakatiyas who ruled more than 200 years left many grandeur monuments, architectural marvels like Warangal fort, a Shiva temple known as Swayambhu temple and many such ancient structures. Travel diaries of great traveler Marco Polo also has mentions of this great city.
Warangal basically consists of an agricultural community, cultivating rice, red chillies, cotton and tobacco. Warangal is renowned for its granite quarries, exported to many other states.
Present Warangal attracts many tourists, thanks to Warangal's important history, exquisite monuments, grand temples, superb gardens, beautiful lakes, and sanctuaries with rich fauna & flora. The Main draw of tourists in the city include Warangal Fort, the 13th century star shaped Shiva temple,Bhadrakali temple and the thousand pillared temple. Wildlife Sanctuaries at Pakhal and Eturnagaram and Pakhal Lake are other tourist spots which are worth visiting. Natural beauty with magnificent manmade structures leaves Warangal with an enviable spot in the tourist map of India.
