Eucumbene and Jindabyne Fishing Charters is a family business run by Mark and Vicki Fountain. We are both locals and know these lakes like the back of our hands. We supply quality rods, reels and tackle for trolling, which include down rigging, planner boards, lead ccore line, flat lining, snap weights and haling. Tackle, rods and reels supplied by Shimano. Lures by Repala. We operate all year round with half or full day fishing charters. Take in the sights while you fish. We encourage catch & release. Lake Eucumbene charters originate from the beautiful historic township of Old Adaminaby located 7Km from the township of Adaminaby which is 54Km from Cooma on the Snowy Mountains Highway. We also provide accommodation at Rainbow's End and Aanglers Mark. Please contact us for more details.

Kiandra, Snowy Mountains, New South Wales
Historical buildings and equipment from the gold rush era are all that remain of a once bustling community in the early 1860's goldrush era, when the town at its peak had a population of 15,000.
Today Kiandra sits on the Snowy Mountains Highway between Tumut and Cooma and features a restored Courthouse and the Wolgal lodge, which can accomodate visitors. The restored courthouse can be seen here on this video, as well as some historical gold mining equipment on the Cabramurra Road at the entrance to Kosciuszko National Park.
For a century (until the establishment of Cabramurra), Kiandra was Australia's highest town.
Kiandra Flood NSW Snowy Mountains 2012.avi
NSW 2012 floods - day 1. Even up here around Kiandra, (a ghost town dating back to the 1850's goldrush) small mountain streams swelled to small lakes during this period of unprecedented rainfall. Desolate Kiandra - which even on a fine day takes on a stark and inhospitable character and could never be described as cheery, looks even more foreboding in these conditions.
