Sean Toohey from Ballarat Property proudly presents 601 Eureka Street, Ballarat East
This outstanding Ballarat property is steeped in a rich history and has undergone a number of transformations since the late 19th century. It was originally the site of the Albion Hotel which was allegedly burnt down around the time of the Eureka Stockade in 1854, and then around 1890 the original home was built. The property was the childhood home of one of Ballarat’s finest architects, the late Russell Madin, who was invited back in 2005 by highly regarded local builder Brian Boyle, to help design and create the stunning masterpiece that stands today.
The property is the perfect blend of old and new with a beautiful traditional façade and an ultra modern interior. Boasting four large bedrooms plus study, this family home has room for everyone. The parents are spoilt with a luxurious master suite that offers separate retreat or nursery, walk in robe and en suite. The remaining three bedrooms all have beautiful Baltic pine floorboards plus offer heaps of storage with floor to ceiling robes. They are serviced by a grand family bathroom that showcases freestanding bath, separate shower and quality fittings.
The generous kitchen / meals area showcases a state of the art fit out including stone benchtops, quality appliances, walk in pantry and a bi-fold servery window to outside. The enormous sunken lounge simply has to be seen to be believed and provides plenty of space for all of your family and friends.
Outside you will fall in love with the tranquil gardens surrounding this property, a credit to the current owner. Amazing established trees create a canopy of shade over the picturesque gardens and lawns, the perfect place for the kids to play. But don’t stress about the up keep as there is also a fully automated watering system to help keep it all green and lush all year round.
Some of the further standout features include 12 foot ceilings throughout, hydronic heating, two split systems, ducted vacuum, monitored security system, separate powder room and large laundry with substantial joinery.
Completing the package is a large enclosed pergola, double lock up garage with workshop, extra garden shedding and side access perfect for the caravan or trailer.
Sitting pride of place directly opposite the Eureka Stockade monument and gardens the home is also just minutes from the Ballarat CBD plus also offers easy access to the freeway for those commuting to Melbourne.
Opportunities like this are almost impossible to come by, so call today to arrange your private inspection.
