Evans Lookout at Blackheath offers a tremendous view of the Grose Valley and most visitors are satisfied with that. However, there are three other tracks leading off from the parking area all of which have their own special features.
This video shows you some features of each.

This walk, taking around 3 hours, leads from Evans Lookout (on the Grand Canyon track) down to Greave's Creek. This is then followed to Beauchamp Falls (takes about 15 minutes) from where the track continues to Govett's Leap (Rodriguez Pass) or to the Blue Gum Forest.
It is a majestic walk with fantastic rains forest and fern growth, culminating with the somewhat dangerous descent to the bottom of the falls.

Flight Track - DC 10 over Blackheath - Evans Lookout Rd fire - with Video - Tues 31st Dec 2019. Blue Mountains NSW Australia.
First pass came right over the top of my place at about 500 metres above the ground - so grabbed my camera and rushed outside for second and third passes. Notice on the third pass over the fire the DC-10 drops as low as about 110 metres above the ground (ie Aircraft altitude minus the ground height of about 1000m ASL). Takeoff and landing is at Richmond Air Force Base. Had thought the DC-10 had flown south near Canberra after Blackheath but I think there might have been some confusion on flight tracker or I mistook another aircraft.

This is a walk for those who like frequent, extensive views. I started from Evans Lookout and walked to Barrow Lookout before returning. I had previously done the Govett's Leap Lookout to Barrow Lookout section, but it wouldn't be difficult to do the full return trip.
There are numerous views across the Grose Valley. On the day I did this walk there were quite a few family groups, so it's a walk for all ages.

Walk to the top of the falls and see the water vanish over the edge! This walk is on a section of the cliff top track linking Pulpit Rock and Evan's Lookout at Blackheath. There are continuous views over the Grose Valley and its tremendous cliffs. The track descends to Govett's Leap Brook which it crosses at the brink of the waterfall. Barrow Lookout is just beyond the crossing and has magnificent views around the cliffs and the valley.

Grand Canyon Walking Track - Blue Mountains
The beautiful Blue Mountains are home to some unique views and walks. The Grand Canyon walk is no different. The Grand Canyon is about 6km up the road from the centre of Blackheath.
The walk starts at Neates Glen carpark and heads down into the canyon. The walk is about 6.3km long and takes about 3-4hours to complete, once you stopped and looks at all the view and features. The national authority rate the walk grade 3. The steps down and up are steep in places, but they no Giants Staircase at Echo Point. Once you get to the bottle of canyon, you cross over the river and follow the river down. Then you get to see the amazing canyon, as the creek cuts through the sandstone.
You follow the creek, passing waterfalls, going through a tunnel and crossing the creek several times before you come to the junction for Rodriguez Pass. Cross the river at this point and head up the steps to Evans Lookout. It well worth the climb to see the final view.

Blue Mountains (Blackheath) - Evan's Lookout to Govett's Leap via Junction Rock and Rodriguez Pass
A three day hike from Thursday 11th to Sat 13th September 2014. We set out from Evan's Lookout in Blackheath and hiked down toward Beauchamp Falls. We set up camp on the first night near the junction of Govett's and Greave's Creeks. We then hiked along Govett's Creek and Rodriguez Pass, coming to Junction Rock and setting up camp half way up Govett's Leap Brook. On the final day, we powered up the cliff side toward Govett's Leap Lookout, and then finally back to Evan's Lookout and back home.
Well done guys, trip of a lifetime.

The Grand Canyon walk at Blackheath is one of the most popular in the Blue Mountains. The track has recently been restored and provides a safe route through what would once have been a difficult and dangerous place.
I started at the Evans Lookout car park, walked along the level track to the Neate's Glen car park, then descended into the Canyon, emerging via the track through The Fernery to Evans Lookout.
There are many steps and places which have been made safe by strong railings and netting, even so children should be closely supervised. They (and you) will be awestruck by this magnificent piece of Blue Mountains scenery.
Allow 3-4 hours for the round trip.
