Whitney Plantation museum confronts painful history of slavery
The first museum in America dedicated entirely to slavery opened a few months ago in Wallace, Louisiana. Michelle Miller visits the museum and found a surprising history, not only about the plantation, but her own family.

St John Parish Fire Chief Spencer Chauvin's Funeral Escort
Video of St John Parish Fire Chief Spencer Chauvin's funeral escort as it passed Whitney Plantation on LA 18 in Edgard, La. on September 1st, 2016. His escort is believed to have been at least 9 miles long and took 16 minutes to pass with Fire Engines from throughout Louisiana and out of state.
Fire Chief Chauvin was killed in the line of duty on August 28th , 2016 on Interstate 10 in LaPlace, La.
Chief Chauvin was a hero who always put the safety of his community first constantly going above and beyond the call. He was a 12 year veteran, but grew up around the Fire department as a 3rd generation fire fighter. Chauvin left behind a wife and 2 young children. He will be surely missed in the community and by family, friends and co-workers.
