TRIP REPORT | Flybe Bombardier Q400 | Exeter - London City | BE1305 G-PRPO
Towards the end of the summer, I wanted to visit London once again but this time, instead of driving there and back for 4 hours, I decided to book a cheap flight with Flybe from Exeter (my nearest airport) to London City. This was a very exciting and new experience for me as it was my very first time flying in and out from both airports, my first flight on a Q400 and my first UK domestic flight. The aircraft was quite empty with about a little over half the seats occupied. It was a beautiful clear day in the UK so I got some very nice views of London on the approach. The flight itself was very enjoyable with an on-time departure and arrival, very friendly cabin crew and pilots, made better by the fact that I had two seats to myself giving me loads of space. The sound was quite loud as I sat right next to the prop and the vibrations were noticeable. Other than that, it was one of the best flights I've had and I'm excited for any future flights with Flybe.
Flight Details:
Aircraft: Bombardier Dash 8 Q400
Registration: G-PRPO
Route: EXT-LCY
Flight Number: BE1305
Callsign: BEE8EA
Seat: 7A
Date: 27/08/2017
Cruise Altitude: FL180/FL190
Departure Runway: RWY08
Arrival Runway: RWY09
Enjoy!

Exeter Quay and the River Exe
A walk around Exeter Quay - The River Exe is more than 50 miles long and stretches almost all the way from the Bristol Channel in the north to the English Channel in the south. The source of the Exe is near Simonsbath on Exmoor - and it reaches the sea at Exmouth. En route, it passes through many communities, including Tiverton and, of course, Devon's county town, Exeter. Watch out for the jumping fish!
The Spirit of Loch Ness is Launched at Exeter
The Spirit of Loch Ness is lifted over the offices and then lowered onto the Exeter Canal. A well co-ordinated lift that went flawlessly by a good team.
Maybe the next time the bottom of the vessel is seen from those angles it will be by Nessie!

An early morning walk through the over night snow that had fallen in the Pennsylvania area of Exeter (UK). Certainly an usual sight in this part of the country, even when the rest of country has snow drifts we might not have anything more than a light dusting. Exeter International Airport - Executive Lounge
This short fly-though film shows off the brand new Executive Lounge at Exeter Airport.
Working with Exeter based architect firm Kensington Taylor, Fruition designed a tranquil, spacious, but yet functional lounge inspired by the Devonshire countryside. The lounge provides a space where those in need of some calm before their flight can come, relax and help themselves to a selection of food and drink.
