Hopi Cultural Center, Hopi Nation , AZ, USA
Drive from Tuba city towards Hopi cultural center. The land is very divine. Lost for words to describe the beauty and the loneliness present. Until the eyes can see hardly anything is present. The songs of the Hopi, Navajo and other Native American people reminds us of the Vedic chants and various folklore music of India. This song composed by isaignani ilayaraja perfectly fits the landscape. Anything divine that makes us think about the almighty/creator is a temple in itself. The dogs at Hopi Cultural Center were like small kids. Cute and active.
Time has stood still at Hopi Nation. ONE CAN BE WITH ONESELF. Reminds us of the peaceful bliss that Ramana Maharishi Or Sadashiva Brahmendra (Nerur/Gnanacheri) experienced in their lifetime.

My Favorite Pow Wow Arizona 2017
My Favorite Pow Wow Arizona 2017
This is my favorite Pow-Wow. At this gathering you can see the colorful dancers and try some of their food. My favorite food is the Fried Bread. It is made with flour and fried in hot oil. I was going to show you a photo of one but I ate it.
This Powwow happens every year in November. They also dance at night and win price money for best dance. When you are there you can feel your spirit vibrate from the dance and the tribal traditional music. I have been attending this Powwow almost every year for the last five years. I love it.
My videos are based on music and innovative ways of making videos. There will be more videos coming soon.

Hopi Words of Peace and Compassion
Here comes someone who will strengthen love and compassion in the world!
A celebrated Norwegian storyteller and actor, who is travelling a lot with performances to help global peace, love, compassion requested this to be said in Hopi.
I am sorry the wind interference is so strong it makes it hard to hear her speak.
The first part is in Hopi, the second part she translates into English her Hopi understanding of the concept.

MYTHOLOGY IS OUR HISTORY ANASAZI HOPI GIANTS HOLLOW EARTH GRAND CANYON
MYTHOLOGY - THE SPOKEN STORY OF A PEOPLE
Think if there existed unknown ancient knowledge in scrolls, texts and books. It is believed that few people from our known past, knew how to write and read. Therefore, stories of history were passed down through civilizations and have become known as mythology and legends.
Using words as they were originally understood, is crucial to answering the questions of HUMAN ORIGIN, The History of Mankind.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
The word ‘myth’ has generally come to identify any story that is believed to be a work of fiction; As the age of science and philosophy began questioning truth itself, the meaning of the word began to evolve. Early scientists and philosophers questioned the truth, or validity, of their traditional myths, thus began the skepticism that would forever change the meaning of the word.
However, when analyzing myths and legends, it is important to understand the evolution of the word.
The word ‘ Myth’ originates from the Greek word mythos, meaning ‘word’ or ‘tale’ or ‘true narrative’, referring not only to the means by which it was transmitted but also to its being rooted in truth.
Mythology-
In Greek, mythos for story-of-the-people, and logos for word or speech, understood as “the spoken story of a people”.
Legend comes from the Latin legere, to read.
Legends - Written truths to read
Kronos was essentially the same as Khronos (Chronos), the primordial god of time in the Orphic Theogonies.

Early Native American Hopi Jewelry: How to Identify Antique Hopi Jewelry
Antique Hopi jewelry is some of the most beautiful jewelry today. A lot of people don't really think of Hopi as being the main type of jewelry when we talk about Native American arts, but it really is.
They have a very long history; it started about a hundred years ago (actually a little longer). Right at the turn of the century the Hopi started making jewelry; they learned from the Navajo and they continued the process through the Carlisle school, which was in Pennsylvania. This was an Indian school that the Hopi were forced to go to and so they picked up the process of making jewelry.
This early antique jewelry really is hard to tell between Zuni and Navajo. It has the same sensibilities, especially the early jewelry, which is kind of heavy ingot with single turquoise stones. But, about 1930 things really changed when we talk about Hopi jewelry, and that's really what I'd like to focus on today. There was a very
instrumental person – Mary Russell Farrell Colton. Her and her husband Harold started the museum in northern Arizona in 1928.
In 1930, they started the Hopi Crafts Guild Show, which was really all about authentic Hopi crafts – just Hopi. They wanted to promote the Hopi Native Americans and one of the things that they did was they encouraged them to make jewelry for the show, and at this time they started to see the very first marks on the authentic antique Hopi jewelry.
So, some of these early images of jewelry can be found actually still on exhibit at the Museum in Northern Arizona. I highly recommend that you go and visit them. In 1939, Mary Russell Farrell Colton actually wrote a letter to all the Hopis and said, “Silversmiths, if you're interested, why don't you consider making your jewelry very unique and different from the other jewelry being made and use your own design elements, like clouds and eagles and things.” She took this and many took this to heart and started making this type of authentic Native American jewelry.
So, you start seeing from the late 30s Hopi imagery being made on their Native American authentic jewelry. From 1941 to 45, we had a problem because of World War II – everything kind of stopped and really it didn't get going until about 1947 when the servicemen started coming home, and when that happened, one of the very best artisans was a guy named Fred Kabotie.
Fred Kabotie and Paul Saufkie started at the Hopi high school where they taught servicemen how to make authentic antique jewelry, and it was at this time they started to make a very unique type of jewelry, which is a silver overlay, and this is really kind of what we think about today when we think about authentic Hopi jewelry.
It's where there's a negative design that's cut out in the silver, which is oxidized to a black, then it's covered with another piece of silver. Later on in the sixties, they started to actually inscribe texture to the undercoat of the black. So, if you see this texturing you know this is a later piece of authentic Hopi jewelry.
In 1949, the Hopi Civil Craft began and that was a guild that was meant (for people) to make great jewelry for just Hopi people, and you'll still see this today; it continues today. So, the earliest jewelry – much of it is stamped and you can look up these stamp designs in a number of books. They are some of the finest Native American jewelry and always think of Hopi jewelry. You want to think of Hopi overlay jewelry using Hopi designs. So, the next time you're looking at Native American jewelry, don't forget about authentic antique Hopi jewelry.

Kachina movie 2013 part 1
A family traveled from Florida to New Mexico where they decided to live and experience a new way of living. They visited many places of interest. One of those places was The Chaco Canyon where Kimi, the middle child, finds a KACHINA doll named The Ogre. Hundreds of years ago, a Hopi uncle crafted this Kachina to scare his nephew who was misbehaving. This doll ended out hidden in The Chaco Canyon by the Hopis, years after the making, since it was possessed by an evil spirit that hunted and killed hundreds of Hopi children in the 1st mesa. This Kachina should have never being found as it will bring terror and pain to this new traveler family.

Mesa Verde Ruins Colorado
My second ruin in 1 day, 150 miles apart. Mesa Verde is the Grand Daddy of the Pueblo People's ruins. You will see the Hopi connection on these ancient ruins. Tried to record as much as possible in an afternoon. To really see everything in this 80 sq. mile site would take a couple of days.
