Days 19 & 20: Marlborough Wine Country! New Zealand's most famous wine region by drone!
Today, I visited the home of my favourite wine - New Zealand's Marlborough wine region on the South Island. In addition to the beautiful wines (especially its distinct passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc), the scenery is truly spectacular - the valley is surrounded by mountains and there are endless symmetrical rows of vines.
I stayed in an Airbnb in Blenheim (the centre of the region) and visited Brancott Estate, Highfield Terravin, and Rock Ferry. I was told to visit Cloudy Bay but didn't have time.
Check out the footage by drone!

Tour TravelEssence has sixty Dutch out of the New Zealand Kaikoura. The earthquake last weekend, the only access road to the coastal village impassable and tourists stuck. The company has hired a plane, because assistance from the New Zealand navy still in gestation.
The tour company picks up the Dutch who have booked them in groups of eight or nine people. They are all expected to have picked up today. After that they travel to Blenheim and Wellington.

Actually, the Dutch had to wait for the arrival of the Navy, but that could take a few days. That takes us too long and that is why we have hired a plane, said a spokesman for TravelEssence.
Kaikoura was killed by the earthquake. A runway instead got hardly damaged by the quake and is now being used to rescue the tourists. In the coastal village stay more than 1,200 tourists, including so sixty Dutch.

New Zealand Trip: Day 7 - Marlborough Wine Tasting
This famous linguist once said that of all the phrases in the English language, of all the endless combinations of words in all of history, that 'cellar door' is the most beautiful.
Today we hired electric bicycles and pedaled through several vineyards and even a brewery! We found our way to Cloudy Bay, Scott, Moa, Hunters, and Rock Ferry. Shout out to the owner of Spy Valley Vineyard who stopped us on the road to give us a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (very tasty!).

The BEST Central Otago Wineries in New Zealand!!!
The BEST Central Otago Wineries in New Zealand!!!
New Zealand is famous for its wines. In Central Otago, NZ, we checked out five different wineries. It was surprising to see many opened wineries because we went there during the off-season (winter months in the Southern Hemisphere). It was a great opportunity to check out these wineries without the large crowds. We checked out these wineries:
-Akarua Wineries
-The Lazy Dog Wineries
-Mt. Difficult Winerieis
-Wild Earth Winerieis
-Aurum Wineries
All of these places produced some of best wines I have ever tasted. If you've never been to New Zealand, make sure you m ake a visit to the wineries in South Island, New Zealand. I promise you won't regret it. Remember- THE VOYAGE IS CONTAGIOUS!!!!

The Marlborough wine region
A small selection of shots from a short trip to explore the vineyards, hillsides and wineries of the Marlborough wine region at the top of New Zealand's South Island.
Shots feature the Yealands Estate and the vineyards near Astrolabe's HQ between Blenheim and Renwick.
The opening sunset shots are from unidentified vineyards to Blenheim's east in the Wairau Valley.

Marlborough, Region in New Zealand - Best Travel Destination
The Marlborough Region, commonly known simply as Marlborough, is one of the regions of New Zealand, located in the northeast of the South Island. Vineyards crisscross the sunny Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand's premier wine-growing district. The sun-drenched, sheltered plains of the valley, with its long autumns and crisp winters, produce a unique grape and more than 70 percent of New Zealand's wine.
Blenheim City (Marlborough Region), New Zealand | Drone Footage
Blenheim is a town on New Zealand’s South Island. It’s known as a gateway to the wineries of the Wairau Valley to the west. In town, the Marlborough Museum chronicles the development of winemaking, plus early Polynesian settlement of the region. The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre houses filmmaker Peter Jackson’s collection of World War I aircraft, displayed in sets re-creating their flight history.
