Whitegate Way - April 2017
Link to activity:
Visit Whitegate Way, where heavy goods trains laden with salt once lumbered to Cuddington to join the Chester - Manchester line. Today the old railway line has been transformed and provides a haven for wildlife and a pleasant place for a stroll or ride.
Stretching for six miles (10km) from the heart of Winsford to Cuddington, the route offers easy walking for all ages along a varied route.
Shady wooded cuttings contrast with open embankments offering spectacular views across the Cheshire countryside. Convenient access points for walkers, cyclists and riders allow you to walk or ride a length at a time.
A totally accessible section, ideal for wheelchairs and pushchairs, has been developed from Whitegate Station. Whitegate was the only station on the line. Today it has been developed into a picnic area with car parking and toilet facilities.
Take time to look around the station area or use it as a starting point to explore the attractive countryside around Whitegate. There is also a car park at Bradford Road, Winsford.
Facilities
* Toilets at Whitegate Station car park (Parish Council)
* Station House Community Cafe (Parish Council)
Exploring further afield
The Whitegate Way is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside using the rights of way network, and is a useful link with the Weaver Parkway.
An 8km / 5 mile walking route around Utkinton takes in Utkinton Hall and the beautiful gardens of Tirley Garth along the way.
The Weaver Wanderer is an easy 17km bike ride, with plenty of off-road cycling along the Weaver Parkway and the Whitegate Way.
How to get there
There are rail links at Cuddington and Winsford. The car park and picnic area at Whitegate Station is signed off the A54, south of A556. The car park is locked in the evening.

Cheshire Green Lanes - There if you look hard enough
A bit of digging in the councils definitive map and then some exploring and you'd be surprised what lanes there are in Cheshire. A fair bit of tarmac in-between but enough to be fun for the locals.

Bentley Bentayga Pearl of the Gulf by Mulliner
▪ Collector’s model celebrates Arabian Gulf’s pearl diving heritage
▪ Mulliner to handcraft just five exquisite cars
▪ Intricate marquetry using luxurious Mother of Pearl
▪ Unique pearl diving dhow boat design inlay in dashboard fascia
▪ Breitling dashboard clock embossed with Mother of Pearl
▪ Mulliner Biometric Secure Stowage for added security
Bentley has created the ultimate collector’s model inspired by the Arabian Gulf’s rich pearl diving heritage, with a personal commission for a Middle Eastern customer – the Bentayga Mulliner Pearl of the Gulf.
Just five of these exquisite W12-powered cars will be handbuilt by Mulliner’s craftspeople in Crewe, England, each featuring unique Mother of Pearl and Arabian Gulf-themed motifs.
Each model has a bespoke interior that celebrates the Arabian Gulf’s history of pearl diving, a tradition that dates back millennia and was once the region’s main economic driver. Most notably, intricate marquetry to the Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus fascia features a pearl diving dhow boat scene, beautifully inlayed with Mother of Pearl.
The luxurious cabin is appointed with Linen main hide and complemented by Brunel secondary hide – a colour scheme inspired by the natural beauty of pearls – with a Mother of Pearl Breitling clock the dashboard centrepiece.
Camel and Brunel contrast stitching is employed for the quilted seats and door inserts, while gold thread embroidery highlights this Bentayga’s pearl diving credentials. Lambswool rugs are also cut in matching Linen, while Mulliner illuminated treadplates welcome passengers in to the cabin.
Gulf pearls are among the rarest and most sought-after in the world, so to help keep valuables safe in the Bentayga Mulliner Pearl of the Gulf, Mulliner has installed an ingenious fingerprint secure storage.
The fingerprint sensor technology has been applied to a high pressure die-cast aluminium secure stowage unit located in the cabin. This discreet and unobtrusive locker creates the ideal place to stow valuables while at the beach or utilising valet parking services.
Treasured Inspiration for a Personal Commission
Archaeologists have evidence to suggest the tradition of natural pearl diving in the Gulf dates back more than 7,000 years. The popularity of pearls spread far and wide during Roman times and were once the most sought after of accessories.
The practise is still considered one of the region’s most treasured traditions and was responsible for the founding of the great coastal cities.
Bentley Bentayga – Genuine Luxury With Go-Anywhere Ability
Genuine luxury and go-anywhere driving ability are the hallmarks of the Bentley Bentayga. Powerful, individual and exquisite in equal measure, the Bentayga is for those who demand luxury without compromise.
The Bentayga’s styling is pure Bentley. Sculpted with an elegant, timeless execution, it perfectly balances athleticism with confidence. The world’s most luxurious SUV also has the world’s finest automotive cabin, the epitome of modern British style.
Bentayga offers the widest range of on and off-road drive settings via Bentley’s Drive Dynamic Mode and optional Responsive Off-Road Setting. Up to eight modes are available at the turn of a dial, allowing drivers to select the perfect dynamic set-up for any surface or road condition. This versatility is complemented by Bentley’s Dynamic Ride and Electric Power-Assisted Steering.
Mulliner – Rare by Design
Mulliner exists to respond to the requirements of Bentley’s most discerning customers. Any type of personalisation can be undertaken to create a unique Bentley of individual taste – including personal commissions like the Pearl of the Gulf.
Mulliner's roots date back to the 1500s – the firm's original focus was creating luxurious horse-drawn carriages. In 1923 Mulliner showcased work on a Bentley chassis for the first time, exhibiting a two-seater 3 Litre Bentley at the Olympia Show in London – just four years after Bentley Motors was founded. In 1953, Mulliner coachbuilt one of the most iconic Bentleys ever – the R Type Continental. This model inspired the design of today's Continental GT. In 1957, Mulliner introduced the Continental Flying Spur, a special four-door saloon built on the Bentley Continental chassis. Mulliner officially became part of Bentley Motors in 1959, setting up its workshops in Crewe.

Beeston Castle VLOG (Full Tour 2018)
Here is a video that I complied together to make a VLOG on a castle that I visited. It is the ruins of a famous castle that once was part of two major wars 1. The English Civil War and 2. an number of welsh wars. It is situated on a rocky summit some 500 feet above the Cheshire plains. Beeston castle was built in the year 1220AD by Ranulf de Blondeville who was the 6th Earl of Chester after he came back from the crusades. There is also a well that was built around 1230AD which is thought to contain King Richard II's treasure that would save England. Set off alarm and caught by security + POLICE (Abandoned London Road Fire Station)
During an explore of the abandoned London Road Fire Station, Manchester, we were spotted by security from outside the building, we panicked a little and started running, making our way through a few floors and eventually running into the only alarmed room in the building, then ran out into the courtyard and got screamed at by all 3 security persons, then eventually the police came, took our details, had some banter, and let us go. This was some funny shit!

Chester to CONWY WALES!! - Wales is incredible!
It was sad to leave the beautiful city of Chester, although we were not sad to leave our accommodation.
We decided that we would splash out a little bit of extra money and take the train all the way into Conwy, Wales. We booked our tickets ahead of time online through a website called trainline. They made me download the app to access my ticket. However, boarding the train was super easy, we just scanned the QR code from the app and the ticket gate let us through (we got some help from the nice station attendant). The ticket cost us about £ 21 each and the journey time was roughly an hour. Once on the train, we noticed that there was a sign that said, stopping in Conwy by request. So when the ticket man came around, we asked if the train could stop in Conwy for us. It seems that most people disembarked at Llandudno Junction, which is the stop before Conwy. You can disembark here, but if your accommodation is in Conwy proper, then it is about a 30 minute walk to Conwy from the Llandudno station. After Llandudno Junction, the train crosses the River Conwy, and passes through a really cool looking tunnel that is attached to Conwy Castle. The train then travels under a section of old city wall before making it's stop in Conwy. This was such a cool portion of the trip, and I would have been a shame to have missed this portion by disembarking in Llandudno Junction.
