Storm Destroys White Rock Pier December 2018
A violent winter storm with uncharacteristically strong winds ripped several boats and docks from their moorings. Two of the boats smashed against the pier until a large section was destroyed, trapping a storm watcher. The Canadian Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter to rescue the person.
