Townshend in Cornwall England - Explore Cornwall
Townshend is small village near Leedstown and Godolphin and the River Hayle. At one time it was a thriving community with a pub, post office, shop, butchers and a chapel, but these have now all closed. It is a quiet and peaceful village, close to the major towns of Penzance, Hayle, Helston and Camborne. The village hall is still functional, with many events held through the year.

Our visit Inside St Michael's Mount, Penzance CORNWALL
Join us as we explore St Michael's Mount, a castle perched on a granite island, just off the Cornish coast near Penzance. The Mount is approached by a granite causeway that is covered for part of the day by the sea.
We use a 1920s tourist guide by Wardlock and Co. to guide us around the castle. St Michaels' Mount is surrounded by not only sea but myth and legend - our guide mentions a skeleton behind a hidden door in the chapel!
Mousehole Cornwall - A look around this beautiful Cornish village.
Available in 4K
Mousehole is a very pretty little fishing village in Cornwall,
Not too far from lands end, and a couple of miles south of Penzance on the shore of Mount's Bay.
You can see St Michael's Mount from Mousehole, another great location for photography and touring.
Access is a bit of a pain, but worth the trip. :)
For the camera gear heads-
This was shot in 4K Slog2 on the Sony a7iii, (Canon/Sigma lenses)
And with my Phantom 4 pro (I forgot my DJI ND filter :( so there is a slight wobble due to high shutter speed. )

Discover your Hidden Cornwall
As a picturesque corner of the country, Cornwall is one of the UK's best-loved holiday destinations. But what does Cornwall promise for those who want to go off the beaten track?
This video from Sykes Cottages shows some of the less well-known places to explore that Cornwall has to offer. They are not 'secrets' by any means, but some may not necessarily be the first places that people would consider when thinking about when they visit Cornwall.
The video was shot on location across Cornwall and places featured include:
St Mawes Ferry
Canoeing on the Fal
Tavern Beach
Paddle boarding on the River Ganell
Surfing at Mawgan Porth
St Michael's Mount
Kynance Cove
Loe Bar beach
Southwest coast path
Bodmin Moor
St Nectan's Glen
Lelant to Botallack
Boscastle
Wheal Coates
Trevose Lighthouse
St Anthony's Lookout
King Harry Ferry
The video has been created by Cornwall film directors Tim Boydell and James Keith of Light Colour Sound, in partnership with Sykes Cottages. The aerial film used in the video was captured using state of the art aerial platform technology, named Skyhawk a custom designed 'RC-Multirotor' carrying a unique camera stabilising gimbal. The film also features a bespoke soundtrack, created by Sam Boydell of Light Colour Sound and Boyde Music specifically for this project.
The result is a stunning short film showcasing some of the best that Cornwall has to offer, helping viewers get right to the heart of one of the UK's best-loved holiday destinations.
