Blue Mountains Walks: Explorers Tree to Bonnie Doon Katoomba NSW Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
This is a round walk, starting and finishing at the Nellies Glen car park, just beyond the famous Explorers Tree in Katoomba. Most of it is within the Bpnnie Doon reserve, an area overlooked by nearly all tourists, which means that it is a quiet and peaceful spot.
The walk takes in two lookouts and several small flowing creeks and is highly recommended for those who want to get away from the crowds.

Gone Bush 3-Day Hike: Explorers Tree to Scenic World, Blue Mountains NP, Sydney, Australia
This is a 3-day hike I walked recently that takes you from the Explorers Tree outside Katoomba, along the Six Foot Track to Coxs River Campsite, then on to Dunphys Campsite, then finally up and out onto Narrow Neck fire trail via Carlon Head.
The trip was completed over 3 days, and I saw lots of wildlife including an Eastern tiger snake, birds of prey and a lyrebird.
I also had to be picked up by Katoomba Police as I almost slipped off the cliff face climbing up Carlon Pass, and I had to drop my rucksack. Luckily everything was OK and I went back to find my back the next day.
Thanks for watching!

Six Foot Track Blue Mountains NSW Australia March 2010
We walked the six foot track from the explorers tree in Katoomba to Jenolan caves between the 19th and 21st of March 2010.
Great weather, a little hot on day 2 about 30c. Night time got down to about 12c.
Slept in my Claytor Jungle Hammock both nights. Great sleep!
Took the trolly tours bus home.
Great walk, Day 2 was hard, especially in the heat.
Water tanks were pretty full at all camp sites. Cox's river is pretty shallow but good for a swim.
Wildwalks has a great information sheet on the walk.

Lindeman Pass - Blue Mountains National Park, Australia
[SET PLAYBACK SETTINGS TO 720P OR 1080P] Lindeman Pass is an historic walking route in the Blue Mts of NSW. It has a heartbreaking history of one man's dream in the early 1900's to link Wentworth Falls with Katoomba, that was thwarted at almost every turn. Never officially opened is unmanaged and now in complete disrepair. Only accessible to experienced navigators and route finders, hopefully this video will show others, just a little bit of the wonder that lies below the tourist tracks and cliff lines above.
For full history, check out Jim Smith's book The Lindeman Pass.
Beaten and defeated by the grueling Six Foot Track
With a backpack of over 30kg, I set out from Explorer's Tree to walk the Six Foot Track up to the Cox's River. I get defeated on this occasion by the grueling track and end up stopping half way and camp at Old Ford Reserve.
Though not the most spectacular location, Old Ford Reserve still provided an enjoyable overnight stay.
I plan to finish the walk from Old Ford Reserve to Cox's River in a future video.
