Sochi
Sochi (Russian: Cо́чи, ZO-chee) is one of the southernmost
Bottas wins for Vettelplaces of Russia and the second-largest city of Krasnodar Krai, with a population of 415,000. Located along the Black Sea coast, it's about 1,600km (995 mi) south of Moscow.

2. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari)
3. Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari)
4. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)
5. Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
6. Felipe Massa (Willams)
ÉÉN UUR GELEDENOrientation[edit]
Greater Sochi occupies 105km along the Black Sea coastline. Its total area is 3,500km² (2,175 sq mi) - three times larger than Moscow. However, most of the population is spread along the narrow coastline stripe, while the mountain area (1,900km²/1,180mi²) mostly belongs to Sochi National Park and partly to the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve. The city alignment is from north-west to south-east, from the neighboring city of Tuapse right to the Russian border with Abkhazia.
Greater Sochi officially includes four administrative districts:
Central Sochi District
The core of the city and its most developed and populated part. Many of the city attractions, hotels and most shopping centres are located there. During the summer season Central Sochi is usually overcrowded and traffic-jammed.
Lazarevskoye District (Ashe, Dagomys, Golovinka, Lazarevskoye, Loo (LO-Oh), Makopse, Solokhaul, Uchdere, Vardane, Volkonka)
The largest (1,744 km²/1,084mi²) district and with the longest (65km/40mi) coastline, includes 34 sub-districts, most of them are spread along the sea shore. Lazarevskoe district is less urbanized than others in Greater Sochi. In fact it has many various settlements, often poorly connected with each other and lacking in basic infrastructure.
Khosta District (Khosta, Kudepsta, Matsesta)
Located to the south-east from Central Sochi, this district contains some major attractions, such as Akhun mountain.
Adler District (Adler, Imeretinskaya lowland, Krasnaya Polyana, Vesyoloe.)
The city's important transport hub, which includes Sochi International Airport, Adler train terminal (final point for most trains going to Greater Sochi) and the only open border crossing with Abkhazia. The role of Adler is rapidly increasing now because it will host all the Olympic venues for the 2014 Games (the Olympic coastal cluster at Imeretinskaya lowland and the mountain cluster at Krasnaya Polyana). The district currently looks like a single huge construction site (certainly, the works cause traffic problems). By 2014 the look of Imeretinskaya lowland and Krasnaya Polyana will change completely, as well as the local transport infrastructure.
The best developed, urbanized and monolithic part of Greater Sochi is the coastline between Dagomys (south-east of Lazarevskoe district) and Imeretinskaya lowland of Adler district.
F1 Russian Grand Prix 2018 Sebastian Vettel explains the Sochi circuit
With Sochi another double trip begins.
The Russian Grand Prix arrives this year at the fifth edition: but the approach march has been much longer. More than a hundred years ago, in 1913 - that is, even before the advent of the USSR - the first race was run. At the beginning of the 2000s the tests of Sergej Zlobin and the project, never taken off, go back to create a circuit on the island of Nagatino (which is not an island, but a neighborhood.
Other ideas, still in the Muscovite area, were not followed. Until the time when it was decided to move all 1600 kilometers further south, on the shores of the Black Sea. The rest is chronicle.
The Sochi slope - which is actually closer to Adler - winds through the buildings of the Winter Olympics. It is characterized by a particularly smooth asphalt, which goes well with the soft compounds (Soft, Ultrasoft and Hypersoft, at the debut here) selected for the weekend. Temperatures should remain at late summer levels. The track combines a very fast section with a sector of right-angled curves. The distance between the starting line and the first corner is just over 400 meters, but in reality the first breakaway arrives long after, so that the riders at the start can exploit the trail of those preceding them. The 3-4 curve, a long semicircle on the left, is actually practically covered in full. Consumption is high and mechanical adhesion is not excessive, also due to the need to balance the wing load for fast sections.
With Russia opens another back-to-back, or two races in two weeks. For the Scuderia Ferrari, Monday after the race it will be time to transfer men and materials to Japan for the Suzuka classic.

2019 EPT Sochi Highlights vlog
Over my time at the 2019 European Poker Tour stop in Sochi, Russia, I made sure to have my cellphone handy at all times such that I could capture footage and document my experiences. These little clips and snippets have now all been weaved together into this video highlight clip, which I hope illustrates the entire experience was like.
I hope you enjoy experiencing the trip through my eyes and that it'll perhaps convince you that making your way to Sochi sometime soon for some poker and for a genuinely fun vacation is a worthwhile proposition.

The Summer in Sochi 2019 , Russia 1/7
Sochi (Russian: Сочи,) is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located on the Black Sea coast near the border between Georgia/Abkhazia and Russia.
The Greater Sochi area, which includes territories and localities subordinated to Sochi proper, has a total area of 3,526 square kilometers (1,361 sq mi) and sprawls for 145 kilometers (90 mi) along the shores of the Black Sea near the Caucasus Mountains.
The area of the city proper is 176.77 square kilometers (68.25 sq mi).According to the 2010 Census, the city had a permanent population of 343,334, making it Russia's largest resort city.
Being part of the Caucasian Riviera, it is one of the very few places in Russia with a subtropical climate, with warm to hot summers and mild winters.
With the alpine and Nordic events held at the nearby ski resort of Rosa Khutor in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi hosted the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014, as well as the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix from 2014 until at least 2020. It was also one of the host cities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
I hope that people will still be able to see this video in a hundred years and learn about the lives of people here today.

The Sochi Autodrom (Russian: Сочи Автодром), previously known as the Sochi International Street Circuit and the Sochi Olympic Park Circuit, is a 5.853 km Formula One racing street circuit under construction in the Black Sea resort town of Sochi in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[3][4] The circuit is similar to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and the Sydney Olympic Park Circuit in that it will run around a venue used for Olympic competition; in this case, the Sochi Olympic Park site, scene of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The inaugural race is due to take place in 2014, the first year of a seven-year contract.
The International Olympic Committee was given the power to delay the race until 2015 if preparations for the race interfered with the Winter Olympics, but the Games started without interruption. In October 2011, the Russian government set aside US$195.4 million for the construction of the circuit.
The construction of the Sochi Olympic Park Circuit marks the end of a thirty-year campaign for a Russian Grand Prix, with plans for a Grand Prix of the Soviet Union originating as early as 1983 before being abandoned for bureaucratic reasons and several failed attempts in the intervening years.
The circuit received its final approval from the FIA in August 2014.
The 5.853-kilometre (3.637 mi) circuit will be the third-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar, behind Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and Silverstone in Great Britain. The circuit will be built around the Sochi Olympic Park coastal cluster, a collection of venues for the 2014 Winter Olympics that have hosted ice hockey, speed skating and the stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies. The surface was not laid until after the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics.
The circuit, designed by German architect Hermann Tilke, will start on the northern edge of the Olympic Park near the train station, heading west towards the Black Sea. The cars traverse the outer edge of the central medals plaza, the podium for Olympic medals presentations. The circuit will circle the plaza and head east to the Bolshoy Ice Dome and navigate a series of tight corners before turning north where it will skirt the edge of the Olympic Park, above the main Olympic Village and the Adler Arena Skating Center. It will then pass the skating and curling centres, before funneling up behind the pit paddock toward the train station, and completing a circuit with a one hundred and eighty degree bend. Some 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) of the circuit length will take place on public roads.

Hello,
Does anyone know where on the internet I can find an Aerial View of the new Sochi race circuit. I've only just started learning how to make tracks and just beginning to try and learn modelling in Google Sketchup.
The 3 buildings I used came from Google 3D Warehouse made by Pollluks
The 4th building is the first and only thing I've made so far in Sketchup, but hopefully I will be able to learn how to make the rest of the buildings myself.
The first real track I tried to make went wrong, so I decided to try and learn to make a different track instead. I need an Aerial View so that I can get the correct scale to match the track.
Tilke doesn't have one on his website, and there seems to be lot's of different circuit maps on google, but none that I've found are big enough or clear enough to draw around.
