Lisbon Nightlife pt2, Fado & Portuguese Food | Europe Travel Vlog [LISBOA, PORTUGAL]
Check out how you can become a digital nomad and travel the world:
==================================================
The beautiful city of Lisbon or Lisboa is actually one of my favourite places on my Europe travels. Never did I think that I would become so attached to the people, culture and especially the nightlife.
On this video, we went for Portuguese food at one of my friend's houses in the middle of Lisbon city. There we also met a Cape Verde musician who showed us the art of Fado, the Portuguese sentimental music genre, and he performed a private show over a glass of local wine.
The following morning we hopped on a boat ride through the Targus river where we get to see a few more castles and the statue of National Sanctuary of Christ.
We were lucky enough to have met a travel guide from who shown us around the Lisbon nightclubs and filled us in on what its all about.
Anyone who is looking to live the laptop lifestyle and travel the world will highly benefit from subscribing to my channel and also following my business vlog series on other playlists for motivational purposes and real-life tips

Portuguese Food Toronto: Lisbon By Night Restaurant
On a recent trip to Portugal, I stumbled across some pretty amazing people, was introduced to some beautiful architectures and learned some fascinating history. What really impressed me was Portuguese food.
Fortunately, for me, I live in one of the most multicultural cities in the world and on my last day in Lagos, I was able to find, book and interview Adelia Mejdoubi, Owner & Manager of Lisbon By Night and her daughter Soraia Mejdoubi who happens to be an amazing Fado singer.

LISBON: Alfama - oldest district (1/5) Portugal
Alfama is the oldest district of Lisbon/Lisboa (Portugal), spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tagus/Tejo river. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning hot fountains or baths. It contains many important historical attractions, as well as an abundance of Fado bars and restaurants.
Overlooking the Alfama is the medieval Castle of São Jorge, offering the best views of the city.
On the slopes of Alfama there are terraces/viewpoints ('miradouros') from which to see the city, like the Miradouro de Santa Luzia (near the church of the same name and over remnants of the Moorish city walls) and the Miradouro das Portas do Sol.
Near the Miradouro de Santa Luzia is located the Museum of Decorative Arts (Museu de Artes Decorativas), a 17th-century mansion with magnificent interiors.
Among the churches of the Alfama are Lisbon Cathedral (12th–14th century, oldest of the city), the Convento da Graça (18th century), the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora (late 16th–18th century), and the baroque Church of Santa Engrácia (17th century), now converted into the National Pantheon ('Panteão Nacional'). Here important Portuguese personalities are buried, like presidents of the republic and writers.

Lisbon, Lisboa how it is and what to eat #Lisbon, Portugal.
#Lisbon is #Portugal hilly and coastal capital city and the #food here has influences from all over the #world. It's world #famous for it's #Fado dance, cafeterias, salt cod, #marisco de mar, #sardines and #belencakes (mini pastry cream cakes, which recipe remains secret for centuries) a city fill up of mixed #cultures, #history and #food. You will find everything from #international, to #regional and #award-winning cuisines here.
There are about 2.5 million inhabitants in the whole region but more than half a million live in the capital and use as transport #tuk-tuks, #trams, #underground, #buses, #taxis and the most useful ones which are the #elevators!
You can't visit #Lisbon without taking a ride in one of this classic trams. The tram system is been in operation since 1873 and all this people here needed this type of transport to commute to work within the 5 neighbourhoods. The two #TOP and central neighbourhoods are #Alfama and #BarrioAlto, both situated on the top of the two main mountains and both very #trendy, full of #quirky restaurants and bars, very lively #neighbourhoods during the day and during the night, seven days a week and all year round.
The #Portuguese are very proud of their #gastronomy and they appreciate eating and drinking well. But the charm of Lisbon's cuisine lives in its #traditions. #Grilled #sardine is the #queen during the summer and on the Popular Saints celebrations, you just can't avoid smelling them on the streets of #Alfama, #BairroAlto or many other local neighbourhoods around #Lisbon.
#June is when came for a visit and is when the Popular Saints celebrations crowd jump into the streets of the city, bringing along coloured flags, balloons, and popular marches full of rhythm.
#Lisbon is recognised as a global city because of its importance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, education and tourism, loads of #Tourism. A very important spot for foodies is the #TimeOut #Market
. It was open in 2014 and now receives more than two million visitors a year, since then has become the number one tourist attraction in town. Their mission is to get the best of each country and bring it together under one roof. But on the streets of Lisbon you'll find influences from #Mozambique, #Caribbean Islands, #Asia and it's neighbour fellow Spain.
After a #scrumptious #lunch I recommend to go and visit Eduardinho The oldest place in #Lisbon where they have been serving #Ginja for generations.. Just pop in and say #HI to this friendly chap on the #video whom will serve you a shot of Ginjinha made with sour cherries and sugar. (Ginjinha is served in a shot with a piece of the fruit in the bottom of the cup)
#Lisbon is such a historical place is like #travelling on time but it isn't hard to bump into a friend on these narrow streets, especially on the summer season! This one of the oldest cities in the #world, and the oldest in Western Europe, predating other modern #European capitals such as #London, #Paris and #Rome by centuries. #Lisbon enjoys a #Mediterranean climate which is the warmest winters of any metropolis in #Europe, with average temperatures 15 °C (59 °F) during the day and 8 °C (46 °F) at night from #December to #February. The typical summer season lasts about six months, from #May to #October, although also in #April temperatures sometimes reach around 25 °C
So we #DEFO coming for more!

Lisbon (Portugal) - the city of panoramic views and fado
This video shows you some of all the amazing places to visit in Lisbon, Portugal.
Lisbon to me was a maze of gorgeous panoramic views from the hillsides overlooking Rio Tejo and the city itself. Gothic cathedrals, majestic monasteries and interesting museums are all part of the colourful cityscape, but the most amazing part is just wondering around the narrow lanes of Lisbons lovely backstreets.
Tiny coffee and cake shops are found everywhere and in Bairro Alto you can enjoy evenings with fado - the traditional Portuguese melancholic singing. You will also find dozens of restaurants and bars line the narrow streets, with jazz, reggae and electronic and any day of the week you can party until dawn. Yet, while history is very much alive in centuries-old Lisbon, its spirit is undeniably youthful.
The Lisbon experience encompasses so many things, from enjoying a fresh pastry and bica (espresso) on a petite leafy plaza to window-shopping in elegant Chiado. Its mingling with Lisboêtas at a neighbourhood festival or watching the sunset from the old Moorish castle.
Just outside Lisbon, theres more to explore: the magical setting of Sintra, glorious beaches and traditional fishing villages.
I love the city.

Walking in LISBON / Portugal ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Lisbon (Portuguese: Lisboa) is the capital of Portugal. This hilly, coastal capital is located on the River Tejo which flows into the Atlantic ocean.
We start our evening tour on the grand Praça do Comércio, also known as Palace Square in the city centre. From the Arco da Rua Augusta onwards the streets are filled with people. We walk uphill to the Cathedral Sé de Lisboa and enjoy the view further up at the Miradouro de Santa Luzia.
One one the main attractions of Lisbon is the Castelo de S. Jorge. We walk around this hilltop Moorish castle after sunset. Earlier in the day it's worth a visit.
The sunlight goes away slowly so we head down to the central city again, enjoy the Christmas decorations and make it also up to the Bairro Alto with shops and more nightlife.
The streets are busy with people so there is a cut in the end to show the Christmas lights at Praça Luís de Camões where we finish this walk.
