FAIRY GLEN, ISLE OF SKYE, SCOTLAND
The Isle of Skye on Scotlands west coast has a long history involving the Fairys, most of which is related to Dunvegan Castle and their ‘Fairy Flag’.
The Fairy Glen is positioned on the north west coast of Skye.
The Fairy Glen much like the Fairy Pools in Glenbrittle has no real legends or stories involving fairys that can be traced.
The simple fact that the location is unusual so it has been given the nickname Fairy Glen.
The natural rock formations, cone-shaped hills dotted with ponds and scattered waterfalls are all within one small area, making it seem as though it’s the shrunken version of a large-scale geological wonder.
One of the hills still has its basalt topping intact which, from a distance, looks like a ruin and has been called Castle Ewan.
It is possible to climb to the top where there is not much room, but does have wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
In the low cliff behind Castle Ewan there is a very small cave where it has been said pressing coins into cracks in the rock will bring Good Luck.

Skye Part 1-Fairy Glen
I had so much footage from this day that I had to split the video. This is the first part of our day on Skye. I would have filmed the drive there but it was so early that fog hid all of the scenery. Enjoy!

Not even nearly as much exploration as we would have liked.. but check out what we *did get to see while we were there -- Gourock (where we stayed with family for most of our trip), Dunoon & the Holy Loch, Glasgow, Stirling, Fort William (check out the epic footage of the Jacobite steam train which is famous for being featured in Harry Potter), Aviemore, Loch Ness & the Urquhart Castle, the Neist Point Lighthouse, Mealt Falls and the Fairy Glen. The Fairy Pools in Isle of Skye, Scotland! (Sony RX100IV, Slog2)
During our roadtrip around Scotland, we decided to visit the Fairy Pools in the Isle of Skye. It is found at the foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle.
These 'pools' are popular for taking dips especially in Summer when the surrounding flora is lush and vibrant. Since we went there in Winter, it was a better idea to stay dry!
The pools however are beautifully clear and blue all year round!

Kaleigh and I continue our travels with my parents in Scotland! We rent a camper van and travel to the Isle of Skye. What a beautiful country Scotland is!
Summerhill glen illuminations (Fairy glen) Douglas, Isle of Man.
Summerhill Glen on the Isle of Man is a seasonally illuminated glen that had a huge impact on the direction of my life when I was taken there as a young kid (late 1960's?). Even for adults it's a very deep and vivid sensory experience that can't be conveyed fully in a video.
Although this illuminated glen has been around for many decades, it's still well maintained and updated in a manner that indicates that the people who maintain it are genuinely fond of it.

'REAL FAIRY CAUGHT ON TAPE | FAIRY GLEN | UIG | SKYE
Today we visited the fairy glen in UIG on the Isle of Skye. While we were filming our vlog we caught a tiny white fairy on camera, see the footage for yourself. 100% genuine. This magical places proves that fairies are real and that this is a place to see fairies. Scotland is amazing and it was awesome to capture a real fairy on camera. This is proof that fairies exist and live in Skye.

Our Honeymoon trip to the lovely Isle of Skye, visiting the Fairy Glen as we have done for so many years now but never grows old so clam and peaceful, a must if you ever visit the Isle of Skye :) ((forgive the shaky hand we just got the camcorder and will get used to it lol)) xx
Why does Faerie Glen exist?
Crazy, phenomenal, beautiful, esoteric, quixotic, enchanting, bizarre, otherworldly and so on... The words to describe this place can go on and on. It's simply awesome.
