KrasAvia An-3T - Flight from Vanavara Airport (UNIW) to Tura Gorny Airport (UNIT), Russia
Antonov An-3T / RA-05882
KrasAvia / K9 780
Departure: Vanavara Airport (UNIW), Russia
Arrival: Tura Gorny Airport (UNIT), Russia
Date: May 18th, 2016
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second rarest Antonov in scheduled services, the An-3. Only 25 built and an attempt to mordernize the An-2 with a Glushenkov TVD-20-03 Turboprop engine. The engine is derived from the Il-86 APU and there are a few structural modifications over the An-2 (e.g. different tail). This flight was originally planned for one day earlier but delayed by 24h on short notice, letting us stuck in Tura for 2 days. Thanks to the friendly KrasAvia staff for permission to film onboard (albeit not outside!). The deafening noise inside the cabin was the auxiliary heater which came on every 5 mins and made us sweat, only freeze a few minutes later when it was switched off again. The An-3 has (like the An-2) a pneumatic braking and steering system on the ground, which is easy to hear during taxi.

Unity Weekend in Moscow a busy one for police
It has been a busy Unity Day weekend for police in Moscow, the public holiday that has superceded the original Soviet Union's October 1917 celebrations marking the triumph of the Communist revolution.
With the centenary this year plenty of groups have chosen to march, many of them on the far-right and ultra-nationalist critics of President Vladimir Putin.
Russian security services said on Sunday they had detained 263 people in the centre of Moscow for breach of public order following more a…

Russian airliner crashes near Moscow after takeoff, kills all 71 on board
러시아 여객기 추락...탑승자 71명 전원 사망 추정
Now for a look at stories making headlines around the world and we start in Russia, where a passenger plane crashed on Sunday killing all 71 people on board.
For more on this and other news we turn to our Ro Aram…
Aram… horrific reports coming out from the crash site… run us through what happened….
Well Semin… the short haul AN-148 operated by Saratov Airlines took off for the city of Orsk on Sunday.
It was carrying 65 passengers and six crew members before it disappeared from radar just minutes after departing from Domodedovo Airport.
Eye witnesses described the plane being on fire as it went down.
Pieces of wreckage and bodies were found spread across a snow-filled Ramenskoye area, about 40 kilometers from the airport.
Officials are searching the field to look for bodies and any evidence that may help determine the cause of the incident.
One of the flight recorders was said to have been recovered and Russian officials have denied reports that the pilot reported a malfunction.
Among the possible causes they listed were weather conditions, human error and the plane's technical condition.
State news agency Tass said the plane, which had been flying since 2010, was out of service for two years because of a shortage of parts, but was put back in to service this month.
President Putin expressed his condolences to the victims' families and put off a planned trip to Sochi to monitor the investigation.

Rossiyskaya Federatsiya, IPA: [rɐˈsʲijskəjə fʲɪdʲɪˈratsɨjə]), is a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and North Asia. At 17,125,200 square kilometres (6,612,100 sq mi), Russia is by a considerable margin the largest country in the world by area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area, and the ninth most populous, with about 146.77 million people as of 2019, including Crimea. About 77% of the population live in the western, European part of the country. Russia's capital, Moscow, is one of the largest cities in the world and the second largest city in Europe; other major cities include Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Extending across the entirety of Northern Asia and much of Eastern Europe, Russia spans eleven time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait. However, Russia recognises two more countries that border it, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which are internationally recognized as parts of Georgia.

By the 18th century, the nation had greatly expanded through conquest, annexation, and exploration to become the Russian Empire, which was the third largest empire in history, stretching from Poland on the west to Alaska on the east.Following the Russian Revolution, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic became the largest and leading constituent of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the world's first constitutionally socialist state. The Soviet Union played a decisive role in the Allied victory in World War II, and emerged as a recognized superpower and rival to the United States during the Cold War. The Soviet era saw some of the most significant technological achievements of the 20th century, including the world's first human-made satellite and the launching of the first humans in space. By the end of 1990, the Soviet Union had the world's second largest economy, largest standing military in the world and the largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction. Ilyushin Il-62
The Ilyushin Il-62 (NATO reporting name Classic) is a Soviet long-range narrow-body jet airliner conceived in 1960 by Ilyushin. As successor to the popular turbo-prop Il-18 and with capacity for almost 200 passengers and crew, the Il-62 was the world's largest jet airliner when first flown in 1963. Being one of four pioneering long-range designs (the others being Boeing 707, DC-8, and VC10), it was the first such type to be operated by the Soviet Union and a number of allied nations. The Il-62 entered Aeroflot civilian service on 15 September 1967 with an inaugural passenger flight from Moscow to Montreal, and remained the standard long-range airliner for the Soviet Union (and later, Russia) for several decades. It was the first Russian pressurised aircraft with non-circular cross-section fuselage and ergonomic passenger doors, and the first Russian jet with six-abreast seating (the turbo-prop Tu-114 shared this arrangement) and international-standard navigation lights.
Over 30 nations operated the Il-62 with over 80 being exported and others leased by Russian-sphere and a few Western airlines. The Il-62M variant became the longest-serving model in its class with some examples having been in use for over three decades. Special VIP (salon) and other conversions were also developed and used as head-of-state transport by some 14 countries. Expensive to operate compared to new generation airliners, the number in service was greatly reduced after the 2008 recession. The Il-62's successors include the wide-bodied Il-86 and Il-96, both of which were made in smaller numbers and neither of which was widely exported.

1-Actually it’s not. Despite many peoples’ believe, the brain is more active when a person is asleep. And knowing that people are using somewhere around 22% of its full capacity, and that the head designer was living with designing this plane, constantly, it’s very much natural. People see many dreams during the night, but usually remember only the last one before they wake up, or some of them, when something woke him up during the night and he doesn’t remember it. All of you, who is reading this, probably saw many useful things in your dreams too. But I guess such researches were not conducted back then. Or they were, but due to limitations of technology, they hadn't came up with these consclusions yet.
Thanks for watching.
