Loch Lomond is a freshwater loch lying on the Highland Boundary Fault, often considered the boundary between the lowlands of Central Scotland and the Highlands. It is 39 kilometres (24 mi) long and between 1.21 kilometres (0.75 mi) and 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) wide. It has an average depth of about 37 metres (121 ft), and a maximum depth of about 190 metres (620 ft). Its surface area is 71 km2 (27 sq mi), and it has a volume of 2.6 km3 (0.62 cu mi). Of all lochs and lakes in Great Britain, it is the largest by surface area, and the second largest (after Loch Ness) by water volume.[3] Within the United Kingdom, it is surpassed only by Lough Neagh and Lower Lough Erne in Northern Ireland[4] and regarding the British Isles as a whole there are also several larger loughs in the Republic of Ireland, More Info :

Aberfoyle, The Trossachs, Scotland
Took these pics for e friend who didn't want them after all. Waterfall is really nice and watch out for the mirror people in the trees. Knocked on the fairy doors but no one was home. Also the flowers are bad luck apparently. The slightly blurry distance shot is a red squirrel.

May 2018 - Our way to Isle Skye...
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park (Scottish Gaelic: Pàirc Nàiseanta Loch Laomainn is nan Tròisichean) is a national park in Scotland centred on Loch Lomond, and includes several ranges of hills and the Trossachs. It was the first of the two national parks established by the Scottish Parliament in 2002, the second being the Cairngorms National Park.
The park is the fourth largest in the British Isles, with a total area of 1,865 km2 (720 sq mi) and a boundary of some 350 km (220 mi) in length. It includes 21 Munros (including Ben Lomond, Ben Lui, Beinn Challuim, Ben More and two peaks called Ben Vorlich), 19 Corbetts, two forest parks (Queen Elizabeth and Argyll) and 57 designated special nature conservation sites. There are two National Nature Reserves within the National Park: Loch Lomond National Nature Reserve and The Great Trossachs Forest National Nature Reserve. The former is managed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), and the latter by a partnership of the Forestry Commission Scotland, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Woodland Trust (Scotland).
15,600 people live in the park, which is customarily split into four sections: Breadalbane, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, and Argyll Forest Park.
Thanks for watch & sub!
