I support the arts and artists. Here is a talented guy who performs on the streets of Falmouth, England. Falmouth is a lovely seaside town in the Cornwall area of the U.K., and I highly recommend everyone to see it. This is a region of England where they have surfing contests, if you can believe it!

A brief chat with Richard Wilcox of Falmouth BID to find out what makes Falmouth a great place to visit, work and live in.
Here's a transcript of the film:
So I'm here in the glorious town of Falmouth and I've got Richard Wilcox with me, great to meet you Rich, and you're the BID Manager for Falmouth tell us about BID. Well BID is a business led initiative, all the businesses in effect in the town get together, they've voted in the project they give money to support a wide array of new quite exciting events and festivals..... so its a private sector thing?... it is and it funds new events it funds marketing and promotion for the town, anything really that can drive the town forward. Tell us a little bit about the history of Falmouth, the background. Well Falmouth's boom time really came about in the 17th and 18th century when at the time we were at the height of the British Empire and Falmouth was chosen as the communications hub for Britain so really from here the fast cutter ships were sent around.... so it was a real base then?... it was and the ships were sent around the globe to deliver important messages and strategic information to the far outposts and at the time it really did become a very cosmopolitan place. Which it still is now. It is, yeah, it is you've still got that young that youthful vibrant air about it which is led because we have a really fast growing university the port and the docks it all adds to that sort of vibrant 12 month economy feel that Falmouth has. Oh that's interesting so you'd see it as more than a seasonal town then, like some places are in Cornwall? It is, it's unique in that context in Cornwall and in the south west context in that we have other industries. Tourism is vitally important of course but we have, as I said, the university and the eduction market and the marine sector which as you can see is really string here in the town. So if a family's coming on holiday here what does Falmouth itself have to offer? Well it has this of course! You know, funnily enough it the 3rd largest and deepest harbour in the world. Is it really? It is, behind Rio and Sydney so of course it is a playground people come here they want to be by the coast they want to get on boats and try their hand at sailing or visit some of the hidden creeks and waterways. We're flanked by two areas of outstanding natural beauty in the Helford River and the Roseland Peninsular but its much more than just about the water there's a lot more.... there's lots of tourist attractions?... there are, we've got Cornwall's largest castle in Pendennis, we've got the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth Art Gallery to name but a few. Yeah, fantastic, now you know if couple or a family were looking more at relocating, actually coming to live here in Falmouth what would you be saying to them? Well we'd be emphasising the 12 month feel about Falmouth it doesn't die in the winter months, we'd be highlighting the fact that there is a really strong independent / national mix and by that I mean there there are 75% independent retailers so really good quality independent... really growing food scene, Rick Stein has recently invested in the town for example and that all adds to the mix. So if you could just sum up Falmouth in a couple of words what would you say? I would say quirky, original and inventive. Brilliant, Richard thanks very much. No problem. Real pleasure, thank you.
