PURSUIT: Man wanted for A&B DW finally stops after taking off from Yarmouth Police at high speeds, then leading Harwich cops and Staties into front lot of Dennis PD Headquarters... [HN VIDEO]
DENNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Not all the details are in, but from radio transmissions and other sources it appears as though a man rammed into another vehicle after some sort of argument in the town of Barnstable.
Yarmouth Police tried to stop the wanted pickup truck on Route 6, but the driver allegedly fled at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. Yarmouth Police had the suspect's information and decided to break off the chase for public safety reasons.
A short time later, Harwich Police picked up what was initially described as a pursuit but eventually slowed down after the suspect's mother contacted him by cell phone and tried to get him to stop.
Harwich and State Police followed the pickup truck north onto Route 130, eventually stopping it in the front parking area of the Dennis Police Department.
The suspect was brought into the DPD booking area until Barnstable Police could respond and take custody of him.
Dennis Rescue also responded to the DPD to evaluate the suspect for unspecified reasons...
[DEVELOPING]
The following HN Video shows the scene outside Dennis Police Headquarters. It also has some of the actual radio transmissions from some of the agencies involved in finally taking the suspect into custody.

FISTS OF FURY: Barnstable Patroman comes upon a violent rolling domestic... [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, Patrolman Kevin Fullam was checking the Barnstable Intermediate School on Route 28 when an SUV pulled into the parking lot driven by a man who said, “I need your help, this car has been following me and she just rammed the back of my car.”
[The following details are from Patrolman Fullam's report.]
In a matter of seconds, a second vehicle also entered the lot at a “high rate of speed.” A female driver exited and began screaming at the driver of the first vehicle.
The situation quickly escalated according to Patrolman Fullum's report. Everyone began yelling and screaming and the female driver of the second vehicle reportedly lunged through the window of the first vehicle and hit the male driver.
Patrolman Fullam called for backup when he observed the female driver of the first vehicle and the female driver of the second vehicle begin fighting and hitting one another with their hands.
Patrolman Fullam tried to restrain one of the woman and she allegedly ignored his commands to stop, pulling away from him...
As Patrolman Fullam was getting the resisting female under control, he observed the male driver of the first vehicle reach out from car window and strike the female driver of the second vehicle, causing her eye glasses to fly off. Officer Fullam also observed the male driver push the female into the frame of his vehicle.
It was a mess and numerous squad cars arrived on scene to assist.
Once things were under control, officers learned it was a case of an ex-girlfriend following a boyfriend who had abruptly stopped talking to her.
…..
Once the dust had settled, Officer Fullam charged the rolling Jerry Springer show with the following:
Tahlia Jackson (the passenger of the first vehicle) was charged with Assault and Battery.
Brandon Allen (the driver of the first vehicle) was charged with A&B On An Intimate Partner, and A&B By Dangerous Weapon.
Bryanna Sylvester (the driver of the second vehicle) was charged with A&B On An Intimate Partner, A&B By Dangerous Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct.
HN NOTE: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following HN Video highlights the police cars scrambling and arriving on scene...
Mashpee Massachusetts (MA) Real Estate Tour
Tour Mashpee, MA neighborhoods, condominium developments, subdivisions, schools, landmarks, recreational areas, and town offices.
Mashpee, Massachusetts is the fastest growing municipality in the Commonwealth, a scenic coastal community graced by natural beauty. Along with the Martha's Vineyard Town of Aquinnah, it is unique as one of the remaining homes of the Wampanoag Nation, the Native American tribe which met the Pilgrims at Plymouth.
Although now outnumbered by new residents, the Wampanoag continue to play a significant role in defining the character of Mashpee through the town's Indian Museum, the annual July Pow Wow and other ongoing activities of the Tribal Council.
With over five miles of sandy beaches on Nantucket and Vineyard Sounds, extensive water frontage on Waquoit and Popponesset Bays, four of the largest freshwater ponds on Cape Cod, three championship golf courses and numerous other visitor amenities such as the nationally recognized Mashpee Commons project, Mashpee is a prime resort, seasonal home and retirement community offering both a relaxed pace of life and a full range of civil services.
With enhancement of its economic base in mind, Mashpee is actively seeking both environmentally friendly industrial and commercial development and increased tourist facilities. As part of that effort the Board of Selectmen has officially embarked on a green tourism development project focusing on enhanced access and programming at the town's 1,000-plus acres of conservation lands as well as South Cape Beach State Park, the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and The Lowell Holly and Mashpee River Reservations.
In addition, 2200 acres in Mashpee have been proposed for inclusion in a new National Wildlife Refuge. All of these efforts are intended to insure that Mashpee remains true to its Native American heritage, maintains its economic vitality and protects its natural resources. For other town tours visit . Highland Lighthouse ~ Cape Cod, Ma.
This, to me was truly breathtaking. I’ve always wanted to know what a lighthouse looked like on the inside and I’m grateful to say I got that opportunity. Highland Light is still referred to as Cape Cod Lighthouse and this amazing structure is still in use today.
Happy Exploring ????
The Highland Light (previously known as Cape Cod Light) is an active lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore in North Truro, Massachusetts. The current tower was erected in 1857, replacing two earlier towers that had been built in 1797 and 1831. It is the oldest and tallest lighthouse on Cape Cod.
In 1797, a station authorized by George Washington was established at this point on the Cape, with a wood lighthouse to warn ships about the dangerous coastline between Cape Ann and Nantucket. It was the first light on Cape Cod. In 1833, the wood structure was replaced by a brick tower and in 1840 a new lantern and lighting apparatus was installed. In 1857 the lighthouse was declared dangerous and demolished, and for a total cost of $17,000, the current 66-foot brick tower was constructed.
On June 6, 1900, the light was changed from a fixed beam to flashing, with a new. The new Barbier, Benard & Turenne first-order Fresnel lens had four panels of 0.92 meter focal distance, revolved in mercury, and gave, every five seconds, flashes of about 192,000 candlepower nearly one-half second in duration. While the new lens was being installed, the light from a third-order lens was exhibited atop a temporary tower erected near the lighthouse; it was later sold at auction. The Highland Light was then the most powerful on the east coast of the United States. Two four-horsepower oil engines with compressors operated by an engine fueled by kerosene, were added to ensure that the fog signal could be activated within ten minutes instead of the previous 45. A new fog signal was installed in 1929, an electrically operated air oscillator, to make it audible over a greater distance.
The lighthouse was converted to electric operation in 1932 with a 1000-watt beacon. In 1946, Highland Light's Fresnel lens was replaced by modern aerobeacons, first by a Crouse-Hinds DCB-36 double rotating light and then by a Carlisle & Finch DCB-224, with a second unit as backup. Unfortunately, the Fresnel lens was severely damaged when it was removed, but fragments are on display in the museum on site. The light was fully automated by 1986 with a Crouse-Hinds DCB-224 rotating beacon. In 1998, a VRB-25 optical system was installed. Most recently, the light source is a Vega Marine LED beacon model 44/2.5 installed in April 2017.
The current location of the lighthouse is not the original site. It was in danger of falling down the cliff due to beach erosion, so the structure was moved 450 feet (140 m) to the west. The government funding to do so was supplemented by money raised through fund raising by the Truro Historical Society. The move was accomplished by International Chimney Corp. of Buffalo, New York and Expert House Movers of Maryland over a period of 18 days in July, 1996. The move left the light station on Cape Cod National Seashore property, bordering the Highland Golf Course. After an errant golf ball broke a window, they were replaced with unbreakable material. In 1998, the keeper's house was modified to be a gift shop and museum.
