Fantasy Island Vlog April 2019
Join Shawn & Alex as we head to Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells for our first visit of the 2019 season! In this action packed vlog we share on ride footage from all of the major rides at the park including the Millennium Roller Coaster and The Odyssey. We also check out all of the changes for this year including the addition of Ice Mountain, Air Maxx 360 and a high ropes course.
On top of all of that we take a close look at all of the refurbishments around the park for this year including a full re-paint of the parks twister ride along with Rhombus Rocket and much more! To end our day at the park we watch the fantastic firework display that's held with a wonderful backdrop of the iconic pyramid and the different roller coasters at Fantasy Island!

This video features a compilation of clips featuring some of the 30 rides and attractions that are situated at the Fantasy Island Amusement Park, That is located in Ingoldmells near Skegness in the British County of Lincolnshire.
With the weather being as nice as it was in this video both the Millennium & The Odyssey were able to operate without interference of the wind or the risk of stalling.

Join us as we make our way to Ingoldmells in Lincolnshire to visit the fantastic Fantasy Island for the first time this 2019 season
Firstly I need to thank the media team who took us for a guided tour around the park to show us what’s new this year including things like the brand new on site accommodation (see link below for more details) plus new rides like Air Maxx 360 and the awesome Ice Mountain indoor spinning coaster, also some more changes to the park and new attractions added like the indoor high ropes course
Each year Mellors who now own and run the park keep adding new things and making Fantasy Island better than ever before making each return visit new and exciting
Thanks again to the awesome staff who let us film on the rides bringing you some awesome povs from Millennium, Rhombus’s Rocket, Volcano shot tower plus the insane Odyssey, the world’s tallest Vekoma Suspended Looping coaster (SLC)
Vlog and on ride povs are all filmed in HD 1080p 60fps using a GoPro Hero 6 Black with official GoPro chest harness and Handler, ps note we had permission to film so don’t film without it

Ingoldmells is a coastal village, civil parish and resort in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Ingoldmells is situated on the A52, and 3 miles north from the resort of Skegness. Ingoldmells is known as a holiday destination, with sites containing large numbers of caravans. The first Butlins holiday camp was located in the village.
The popularity of the seaside resort of Skegness attracted tourists from around the country, and a holiday camp, Butlin's, was built in 1936 in Ingoldmells, just on the border between Ingoldmells and Skegness. The parish church is a Grade I listed building dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul and dating from 1200.
Ingoldmells is a country village next to the sea, and in terms of a village is relatively large. Most housing is found in the west of the village in large council complexes. Close by to the west is the village of Addlethorpe. The village primary school is on Simpson Court.
Ingoldmells has the largest containment of caravans in Europe. Ingoldale Park is situated on Beach Estate. It is one of the oldest caravan parks in Ingoldmells. Beach Estate originally comprised the farm land of Home Farm and The Drain 4 acres. On the death in 1866 of the first owner, Nathanial Cartwright, it passed through his family until his brother, Edward Hudson Cartwright, sold it to a Mr Flint who owned adjoining land.
Fantasy Island is a large family Amusement Park in Ingoldmells, then owned by Blue Anchor Leisure opened in 1995, and has since built up a variety of rides, attractions and entertainment. It is the site of Jubilee Odyssey, which is the largest roller coaster of its type in the world.

This park has two very good Vekoma coasters: the ultra smooth Millennium and possibly the best example of an SLC ever built, Odyssey. Fantasy Island is also home to several good flat rides (sadly the Beast - possibly the best Mondial Topscan - was removed the day after our visit). Includes on ride POVs*

(Filmed 11/06/2018) Fantasy Island in Skegness, is an absolute gem of a park, boasting a huge selection of family and thrill rides, great for everyone. Nic and I had so much fun, it really is one of the best amusement parks in the UK, just watch, words can't do it true justice.

24 Hours in Skegness - VIDEO TRAVEL GUIDE! (Skegness, UK)
24 hours in Skegness!! Plenty of time to cover this great seaside getaway hotspot! For many of us growing up in the Midlands, Skegness was only a 90 mile drive east. It makes a great day trip or you can even spend up to a week here. The seafront hotels are very traditional with many bed and breakfasts still running. There are nearby campgrounds and also a seaonal farground which opens for the summer only. Butlin's Skegness Resort is nearby and also Ingoldmells too.

FRISBEE RIDE - New to Fantasy Island in 2018.
This is the HUSS Frisbee of James Mellors, which will be opening at Fantasy Island theme park for the 2018 season.
Filmed at the Nottingham Goose Fair 2017, the first UK appearance of the ride. This particular ride was built in 1994 and travelled under Rudolf Robrahn of Germany until it was purchased by James melons in August 2014. The Frisbee spent 2014-2017 at the Global Village in Dubai.
