Farley Mount Hampshire UK
Farley Mount is a hill and one of the highest points in Hampshire. It is located within Farley Mount Country Park, situated about four miles west of the historic city of Winchester, Hampshire.
On top of the mount is a folly, which stands as a monument to a horse named 'Beware Chalk Pit', which carried its owner to a racing victory in 1734, a year after falling into a twenty-five feet deep chalk pit while out hunting.
There are plaques on the interior and exterior of the monument, which read: Underneath lies buried a horse, the property of Paulet St. John Esq., that in the month of September 1733 leaped into a chalk pit twenty-five feet deep afoxhuntiing with his master on his back and in October 1734 he won the Hunters Plate on Worthy Downs and was rode by his owner and was entered in the name of Beware Chalk Pit. FARLEY MOUNT ADVENTURES
Quite possibly the longest video I've ever uploaded, but I had a fuckin' blast and was so glad I got to record it all. Very little of what happens in this video is legal, but I just wanted to take some sick pictures, which I did. They can be found on my Facebook page, the link for which is down below.

The 'Horse Monument' at Farley Mount.
The Country Park is named after the famous monument to a horse, named Beware Chalk Pit, which carried its owner to a racing victory in 1734, a year after having fallen into a chalk pit whilst out fox-hunting
The inscription on the plaque on the north wall reads:
Underneath lies buried a horse, the property of Paulet St.

Under the monument at Farley mount.
There is a nice place near Winchester in the county of Hampshire in the south of England, It is called Farley mount, its not really a mountain as the name suggests, more of a hill.on the top of a hill is a burial mound with a monument on top, the monument is not for some ancient king or noble person, it is actually for a horse! on the north wall is a plaque that reads Underneath lies buried a horse, the property of Paulet St. Today i discovered that on Google Earth it had 3D model of that monument, for a laugh i wanted to see if it was possible to enter the monument, as you can in real life, there's just some small benches inside plus that message above. I had a surprise when i suddenly found myself seemingly inside the mound underneath the monument. Well i can confirm there is no dead skeleton of a horse, yes that's right no dead ones, and no living skeletons either! so i think its all a big lie about the horse! it's a nice place to chill out though
Worship service inside Farley Mount. World record?
St Francis Church from Valley Park, Hampshire, held an open air service at Farley Mount on Sunday 29th July 2012, However, the weather soon turned on us and we went inside the monument, where a couple and their lovely dog were also hiding! Is this some sort of record - for the church service held in the smallest building, or the most densely populated service, for example?
