There has been boating on the River Wey for over a century, since the Leroy brothers established punt and skiff hire at Farncombe (near the head of the navigation) and here in Guildford, at the Old Boat House as it is now known.

In the 1950's, the business moved round the corner to accommodate passenger boats and - when the Chase family took over in 1974 - holiday boats too.

Surrey's best kept secret, the River Wey, was opened up to generations of holidaymakers, seduced by the tranquil pace and outstanding beauty of this, the most southerly navigation on the linked inland waterway system. The Wey flows into the Thames only a day or so away at Weybridge, so depending on the length of your holiday, you can enjoy the grandeur of the Royal River as well as the intimacy of the River Wey.

Whether you take a rowing boat for an hour or two, enjoy an effortless River Trip with friends (and perhaps a meal on board) or relax thoroughly for a few days or more on a holiday narrowboat, everyone can relax on the River Wey.

River Wey navigation at it's finest. beautiful day for a bike outing. good second test of the wind noise reducing muff on the tomtom bandit camera too. very pleased with the results although I think chest mounted gives a better perspective.
