For those on either coast of the United States, the full-volume season is upon us. It’s certainly not the most exhilarating time of year to be a surfer, especially if you’re confined to your local breaks. And although board makers will intuitively unveil their newest takes on the summertime grovelers, is there anything yet to be done to the short, wide, flat high performance shortboard capable of exciting?
The answer: Yes!
SURFER Magazine recently asked four prominent shapers to dish on their newest, mush-destroying models. What we found was a stirring and eclectic range of takes on the short, flat, wide groveler, featuring wings and no-wings, squash tails and swallow tails, a variety of bottom contours and fin setups constructed from a diverse assortment of innovative materials.

Its the most exquisitely beautiful music I could think of to match the scenario.
The Luxurious $1600 Per Night Cruise Ship Suite
This amazing cruise ship suite was pricey as hell, but in the end it seemed worth it to me! It was the most luxurious cruise we've ever had, and we've been on 39 cruises, so far.
I loved having our own private Jacuzzi on our balcony, and big picture windows in our suite. The most surprising thing was how much I enjoyed having a butler! I didn't think I was a butler kind of guy. But it was great to call him up one afternoon when we had a craving for chips and salsa... and have him show up a few minutes later to deliver it, without us even having to leave the Jacuzzi. On another day, we just didn't feel like leaving the cabin for dinner, so he served a delicious steak dinner to us in our suite.
We loved this suite so much that we never left the ship in any of the ports of call... we just stayed onboard and enjoyed relaxing in our big suite and out on the balcony in the Jacuzzi.

There are two Deluxe Owners Suites on the Norwegian Pearl. This particular one was cabin 15000, known as the Black Pearl Suite.
I should also mention that the price of the room fluctuates depending on demand. For cruises during a high-demand time such as Christmas week, it's more like $2000 per night.

Introduced in 2009, Carnival Dream features the Punchliner Comedy Club, nightly stage shows, age-appropriate kids clubs (for ages 2 to 17) and three pools — all hallmarks of the line's Fun Ships. More family-fun entertainment options include movies at the Seaside Theatre and the Seuss At Sea program, with story time, character breakfasts and a parade for toddlers ages 2 to 5. Meanwhile, those more interested in recharging will find a little more peace and quiet at the Cloud 9 Spa, which offers treatments like acupuncture, massages and body wraps, or at the Serenity Adult Retreat, with whirlpools and lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. And while the ship can carry up to 3,646 passengers and 1,367 crew members, previous cruisers say the ship never feels too crowded thanks to its plentiful on board venues. On Carnival Dream, passengers can enjoy brunch and dinner in elegant dining rooms, and grab lunch, snacks and drinks at the ship's other two restaurants or numerous bars. Princess to Build 2 New Mega LNG Powered Cruise Ships! At 175,000 Tons Princess will operate 2 Mega cruise ships in 2022 and 2023 that can hold 4300 passengers each. Princess is now awaiting 5 new ships to add to it's fleet the Sky Princess will arrive in Oct 2019 and will be the first of 3 additional Royal class ships. I the Dominican Republic, the governmanet is about to release the news that a new passenger cruise port is to be built that will be able ro accomodate 3 Oasis class cruise ships at the same time starting in 2020. The initial $80 million build out of the new pier is set to begin this fall. When completed the new developement rto be called Tiao Village will include a waterpark complex, coaster rides, zip line rides, a museum of the history of the area including Puerto Plata. Estimates are that by 2021 a million passengers a year will visit the new site.

Carnival Conquest Ship Tour (2019)
A tour of Carnival Conquest shot April 2019. Carnival Conquest is a Carnival Cruise Line ship that is based year-round in South Florida. It has French-themed decor throughout the ship.
There are a total of five Conquest-class ships: Valor, Freedom, Liberty, Glory, and Conquest.

This ship has most of the Fun Ship 2.0 features, including Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Bar and Playlist Productions.
Conquest has a lot of food options, including Ol' Fashion BBQ (deck 10), Lido buffet (deck 9), Steakhouse (deck 10) and burgers and tacos by the pool.
In 2009, the ship underwent an extensive renovation to get a Seaside Theater, Circle C Kid's Program (now called Camp Ocean), and additional balconies added.
The latest Conquest-class ship to get a major renovation was Carnival Freedom, that currently sails from Galveston, Texas.
Currently, Conquest is sailing out of Port Everglades but will move to Port Miami in 2019.

Update About Norwegian Bliss Onboard Fire and Panama Canal Transit! The Norwegian Bliss had an onboard fire in it's incinerator room but thankfully the fire was contained to some debris around the incinerator and was quickly put out. It took firefighters about 15 mins to fully douse the fire and then the crew had to contend with the smoke form the fire. No other part of the ship was affected by the incident. Today May 14 2018 the Norwegian Bliss is making her way through the Panama Canal as the largest cruise ship ever to transit the canal. The Canal was widened recently and there will be 20 ships passing throught the canal that could not have done so in previous years.

Travelling with Bruce is Live! Carnival Horizon Engine Problems The Carnival Horizon cruise ship is heading to it's home port of New York after suffering an engine issue in Amber Cove Dominican Republic. The ship is travelling at a reduced speed and has already picked up an engine specialist in Grand Turk. It is expected to return to New York on Thurday the day after tomorrow on time so the 4000 passengers can make their flight connections home. The cause of the problem has not been revealed.
