About the Artist Jinyu Li
Chinese Canadian painter Jinyu Li is an honorary member of the Artists Association of Canada. In the beginning of her career, she had held solo exhibitions in Shanghai and the city of Zhuhai, China, as well as in Montreal and the city of Quebec, Canada. She had also held Joint exhibition at the Parliament Building in Ottawa with two other artists, One of her paintings Spring in Banna was in the collection of a famous art collector in Quebec.
In recent years, Jinyu Li held many solo exhibitions in New York City, including at Manhattan Neighborhood Network and she was also interviewed by MNN. US Congressman Yvette D. Clark issued a certificate for Jinyu Li at her solo exhibition, thanking Li for the special and outstanding contributions of her paintings for the community.
Jinyu Li tries to present the humanistic spirit in her works. The painter takes recording history as her mission. As an artist of conscience, she keeps her faith in the everlasting characteristics of the universe - Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
As a painter who inherited Chinese traditional culture and was educated in a society of freedom, Jinyu uses her paintbrush to tell these true stories, and the experience of herself, her family and friends always inspires her and moves her deeply.
Jinyu Li graduated from the College of Arts and Crafts in Shanghai. She was trained in the Department of Art History of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. In recent years, she also studied in The Art Students League of New York. She often goes to museums to study the masterpieces of Western art masters.
