It's raining and cold in London at the moment and I am thinking of a wonderful Summer break that I had cooking with my good friend Claudia who runs In this video Claudia and I cook for some guests at a beautiful Villa on the outskirts of Florence called Villa di Maiano. It was a wonderful night as we all sat outside and had dinner by candle light. Thank you to Isabella and everyone at Villa di Maiano for making us so welcome. Here are the ingredients for Jamie's Pasta Salad that I made:
310 g small shell-shaped pasta
3 cloves garlic
255 g yellow cherry tomatoes
255 g red cherry tomatoes
1 handful black olives , pitted
2 tablespoons fresh chives
1 handful fresh basil
½ cucumber
4 tablespoons white wine vinegar , or to taste
7 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
sea salt
freshly ground black pepper

A fabulous classical wedding at Villa di Maiano, Fiesole
Lucy and Pierre from Dubai chose to celebrate their destination wedding in Italy at fabulous Villa di Maiano.
This luxury Villa dating from 15th century is immersed in the green of the Tuscan hills overlooking Florence. It is well known as James Ivory filmed here some scenes from Room with a view.
The wedding ceremony took place in the one of the luxuriant gardens of the Villa, decorated with classical white and blush roses.
The gorgeous terrace was the perfect scenery for an Italian aperitivo: all the guests could enjoy the magnificent view over Florence and over the Tuscan countryside.
The wedding dinner was served in the monumental Tapestry Room on the ground floor; all the Villa was finely illuminated at night and became a dreamy backdrop for the cutting of the cake.
