A Day in the Life of Warunda House
Person-Centred Active Support is a way of providing just the right amount of assistance, to enable a person with intellectual disability to successfully take part in meaningful activities and social relationships.
Studies show that people with intellectual disability who receive consistent good active support have increased engagement and growth in skills, better outcomes in terms of personal development, interpersonal relations, social inclusion, self-determination and rights, and less challenging behaviours.
The Warunda house in Warracknabeal is great example of embedding Active Support. There are 6 ladies who call Warunda their home. Some have been there 20 years. They include - Donna, Suzie, Jennifer, Melissa, Natasha and Lisa. Gail who leads the Tipping team says it’s just what we do … we have a great team, and we want to ensure the six ladies at the house have the best lives they possibly can, that they’re the best they can be.
In this video we wanted to show the way the team in Warunda work together with the 6 ladies at every moment of the day, including in the home, the garden, on the way to work, in the community and on outings and holidays.

Proclaimed a national park in 1986, it is named after Frederick Henry Litchfield, a Territory pioneer, who explored areas of the Northern Territory from Escape Cliffs on the Timor Sea to the Daly River in 1864.

Warrenbayne West & Boho Valleys', near Baddaginnie and Boho, Strathbogie Shire, Victoria
This short clip filmed in the Warrenbayne West & Boho valley is to raise awareness of how stunning this area is and how out of place a proposed club in the valley would be. Please help us to say No to a gun club in this beautiful little pocket of North Eastern Victoria.

Mount Warrenheip flyby
Mount Warrenheip is an inactive volcanic cone in Victoria, Australia. The mountain is located 9 kilometres east of Ballarat in central Victoria, Australia, with an elevation of 714 metres.
Volcanic activity ceased around 100,000 years ago, and along with Mount Buninyong, which can be seen at various points throughout the video, it is one of only two forested scoria cones in Victoria.
Most of the mountain is designated as a nature conservation reserve. Also visible in the video is the marked difference between the more heavily-forested southern slope and the less densely forested northern slope. This is a common phenomenon in Australian slope morphology. Hundreds of trees on the northern slope have died in recent decades from drought, predominantly peppermints, manna gums and stringybarks.
The mountain was subjected to fire in 1866, 1901, 1939 and again in February 2013. Light snow occasionally falls on Mount Warrenheip.
As can be seen in the video, Mount Warrenheip has four telecommunications towers installed at its peak, including antennae for Radio 3BA, Voice FM 99.9, ABC News Radio, Telstra mobile and WiMax services, an amateur radio repeater and police dispatch radio.
Kryal Castle is located at the foot of the northern slope.

Webinar - Soil Carbon Stocks in Victoria, Australia (1/2015)
The Victorian Soil Carbon Project surveyed over 600 farm sites with the aim to quantify current soil carbon stocks, across Victorian agriculture systems. The project also allowed us to investigate relationships with soil type, climate and management. The results of the survey show that carbon stock vary widely across regions, soil type and management's. I will present an overview of the project and continuing research.

Aerial footage shows Australian bushfires raging in rural New South Wales
Footage taken by the NSW Rural Fire Service showed a bushfire sweeping through an area near Bemboka in the Bega Valley in south-east New South Wales.
The nearby area of Cobargo also experienced a fire-generated thunderstorm, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service. Authorities said that dry lightning could spark further flare-ups in Australia's fire-ravaged regions.
Bushfires have destroyed more than 4m hectares of forest and brush across Australia in recent weeks.
