What is Federation Square?
It's increasingly difficult to imagine Melbourne without Federation Square.
With more than 2,400 events each year, it's home to major cultural attractions, world-class experiences and an exceptional array of restaurants, bars and specialty stores. This modern piazza has become the heart and soul of Melbourne.
Since opening in 2002, Fed Square has seen more than 100 million visits and has recently been named the 6th Best Public Square in the World, in a list of 10 international icons including Naghsh-e Jahaan Square in Iran and Red Square (Krasnaya ploshchad) in Moscow, Russia.

Federation Square is a venue for arts, culture and public events on the edge of the Melbourne central business district. It covers an area of 3.2 ha (7.9 acres) at the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Streets built above busy railway lines and across the road from Flinders Street station. It incorporates major cultural institutions such as the Ian Potter Centre and ACMI and Koorie Heritage Trust as well as cafes and bars in a series of buildings centred around a large paved square, and a glass-walled atrium. The corner is occupied by a glass-walled pavilion that provides access to the underground Melbourne Visitor Centre.

I believe that so many socceroos fans were feeling a bit frustrated after all these dissappointed and to-no-avail chances after 80+' mins play time. When Tim Cahill was introduced at 58' min, I expected so much from this socceroo whom brought Everton to UEFA Cup for the first time.
At 84' he scored. The ground of Federation Square was shaking, people screamed as without any confines. We started hugging and hopping with the people standing beside, still screaming until losing voice. I cant remember any one of the faces I had hugged LOL~ I had watched football within big crowd but this is the first experience for life I have ever had. It was all natural, like reflective response...!

On this Australia Travel Vlog 2019, I walked through the Melbourne CBD in the morning. The streets around CBD were so clean, wide, and flanked with the trees in each side. Old historical buildings also made the streets look more beautiful with its architecture.
I just walked around the Flinders Street, one of the busiest streets in Melbourne, where the iconic Flinders Sreets Station located. Around the streets, there were also St. Paul's Cathedral, the Hosier Lane, Federation Square, Manchester Unity Building, Melbourne Town Hall, and many others.

Fed Square is improving its digital experience for visitors with state-of-the-art, integrated multi-screen platforms, a significant Wi-Fi upgrade and a program of interactive, user-generated digital content. The big screen, which is now at the end of its life, will be replaced with a wall of interactive LED panels that complement the form of Fed Square' s unique architecture.
