I arrived in Cebu a day before Sinulog last Jan 16, 2010 to go diving with Charles. We had two dives just of Mactan. I got to test my new Liquid Image Video Camera Mask.

Jaime Lapac is Juans fellow Filipino Cave Diver based in Mactan, Cebu. He and his wife Rio, run Jaime's Dive Center and they knows Mactan dive spots like the back of their hand. He is NAUI certified and has the dive skills to back up his certification which makes me feel safe.
A few divers from Japan join us during our dives. Most of them are regular clients that fly in to the Philippines regularly to dive with Jaime and Rio. They say they like diving here, 'because it's very beautiful' and people are very friendly.
Jaime's place is a fun short ride to the jump off point. We get in a small truck, sit at the back, wave at the locals, smell food, fish, or even pig dung depending on the direction of the air. In a few minutes we're at the shore and a crew is waiting to carry our gear to the boat.
Mactan is replete with dive sites and in our itinerary were 3 marine sanctuaries, a wreck site and underwater cavern. We checked the weather, looked out, saw the big waves and thought this is ALREADY as exciting as it looks.

Wreck diving Coron, Philippines
Most of the wrecks in Coron Bay are Japanese auxiliary ships sunk by American fighter planes on 24th of September 1944. The fleet was trying to hide in the bay after a devastating air strike in Manila Bay, but I guess they did not hide well enough.
The diving in Coron was great! The wrecks are large and full of life, but the most impressive thing about the diving is the possibility to penetrate deep into the ships. A special feeling when you swim through a dark corridor of a large WW2 ship at the bottom of the ocean with streaks of light penetrating from pot holes and other openings.
Our favorite wrecks was Irako (147m long Refrigerated provision ship) with it's deep penetration and Okikawa Maru (160m long Oil tanker) where you could swim trough the propeller shaft to be greeted by the impressive sight of the enormous rudder.

First time to try Free-diving + Bohol Reflections
Hi, everybody!!
Ugh feels so good to post on here again! Doing some rebranding here there. Anyways, hope everybody’s 2019 is going well so far! Mine is off to a fast and busy start so it was really nice to get some downtime over at Bohol. Haven’t been there in ages so it felt good to reconnect with familiar grounds.
Quick backstory! Initially, this video was gonna be a vlog but I was only there for 2 days and was out in the ocean pretty much the entire time so nothing much happened. So instead, I wanted to do a reflection video. Prior to this trip I was feeling low because I realised I was starting to get caught up in a hustle and bustle routine (nothing wrong with that) but it came to the point where was starting to lose focus on myself and worry about things that don’t actually need my attention such as: judgments, negative energies, insecurities, fads, and comparisons. So this trip helped ground myself and pumped up my self-esteem. The reason why I wanted to change up the video is because I believe that everybody should allow themselves a little bit of time every day to appreciate all of life and love themselves.
This was a pretty spontaneous trip, a really good friend of mine is a free diver and she invited me to tryout free-diving. And without thinking it through, out of pure impulse, I bought my flight tickets. I knew I needed this trip badly. However, I didn’t tell too many people about the free-diving trial. I pretty much knew nobody out there and had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was my own little excursion! And omg it was SO TOTALLY WORTH IT! As simple as it was, it’s probably one of my most memorable trips so far. And it’s probably because what I learned in free-diving, I had to be extremely relaxed… as in the most CALM, CHILL, ZEN, INNER-PEACE I can be. So probably the most relaxed trip I’ve ever been on haha! Because that’s exactly what I needed to feel while I was holding my breath as I dove deeper. So there was zero room for stress and negativity. And I love that! Oh and by the way, I will be pursuing in attaining my Wave 1 certificate with Molchanovs.
Anyways, that’s about it. I just wanted to share my thoughts on allowing ourselves some time to slow down in this frantic life and giving ourselves some self-appreciation because it's deserved! And to be honest, I find myself a lot more productive and uplifted when I give myself some TLC (tender, love, and care).

Cebu Ocean Park | Biggest Oceanarium in the Philippines | The Do's and Don't's to Enjoy
Since the first announcement that Cebu was going to have its own version of Ocean Park, everyone has been raving about it especially now that it's officially open for public viewing.
For someone who can't swim and would most likely not experience how it is to be under water in the real ocean, this newest attraction in the city is certainly a perfect chance to grab.
I have always been fascinated with corals and marine animals but I have always been afraid to be in a sea water for I don't know if sea creatures such as sharks, sea snakes, crocodiles may be out there waiting to devour me.
Well, all of those mentioned are there in the Biggest Oceanarium innthe Philippines but this time I am not afraid of them for I feel so secured to be inside a 360° tunnel while watching the 2,000 marine animals and about 200 marine species.
My confidence to face these amazing sea creatures was boosted further as I was accompanied by great friends like Corn, Farrah and the Maistrang Laagan herself Eneri Yonas.
Indeed, getting some quick trips as this is even more fun if you spend it with friends. Watch our crazy adventure, banters and antics in this 28 - minute vlog fraught of laughter and amazement.
