Norwich is a city on the River Wensum in East Anglia and lies about 100 miles north-east of London. Norwich is the regional administrative centre for East Anglia and county town of Norfolk. During the 11th century, Norwich was the largest city in England after London, and one of its most important. Norwich remained the capital of the most populous English county until the Industrial Revolution.
In May 2012, Norwich was designated England's first UNESCO City of Literature. Since 1298 Norwich has returned two members of parliament to the House of Commons. Until 1950 the city was an undivided constituency, returning two MPs. Since that date the area has been divided between two single-member constituencies: Norwich North and Norwich South.
The principal local football club is Norwich City, also known as the Canaries, who play in the second tier of English football, the Championship, after being relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015–16 season.
Norwich stands north of the A47 (bypassed to the south of the city), which connects it with Great Yarmouth to the east, and Kings Lynn and Peterborough to the west. Rainthorpe Hall
Rainthorpe Hall is an Elizabethan country mansion which is a Grade I listed building near Tasburgh in Norfolk, England, about 8 miles (13 km) south of Norwich. It is notable for its medieval stone work, wood carvings, rare 17th century leather wall coverings and 19th century Victorian mirrors. The hall's grounds extend to 18.7 acres.
There is evidence that the Hall dates back to the 15th century or earlier in some form and that most of the original structure was destroyed by a fire around 1500. In 1579, the lawyer Thomas Baxter purchased the property and set about adding to it and altering it to include two new wings, before selling the property in 1628. The next owner of note was Frederick Walpole, youngest son of Horatio Walpole, 3rd Earl of Orford, who purchased the property in 1852; his influence on the house can be seen in the hall chimney, stone windows and stained glass.

Felbrigg Hall Cromer in Norfolk 2013
Felbrigg Hall Cromer Norfolk 2013
Blickling Hall, Norfolk, UK
SEE MY FACEBOOK HISTORY PAGE :
Today, Blickling Hall is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Norfolk. In the 15th century, Blickling Hall was owned by Sir John Fastolf (1380--1459), who made a fortune in the Hundred Years' War, and whose coat of arms is still on display there. Later, the Hall was owned by the Boleyn family, and home to Sir Thomas Boleyn, created Earl of Wiltshire, and his wife, Elizabeth, between 1499 and 1505. Their first two children Mary and George were almost certainly born at Blickling Hall, along with several other Boleyn infants who did not live long. Anne Boleyn, was probably born here too around 1501. In 1505 the family moved to Hever Castle in Kent.
It is said that every year, on the anniversary of her execution, Anne Boleyn's headless ghost arrives at Blickling Hall in a carriage driven by an equally headless coachman. But she hasn't lost her head completely in the afterlife—she carries it along with her during her hauntings. Anyone wanting to meet her will need to go on 19 May - in fact turn up on 18 May just in case she haunts on that night. Come to think of it, calculate what day it would be in the current Gregorian calendar just in case Anne does not know that the dates changed.
The current Blickling Hall was built on the ruins of the old Boleyn property in 1616.
During World War II the house was requisitioned and served as the Officers Mess of nearby RAF Oulton. It was at this time that the house and its estate passed to The National Trust, under the terms of the Country Houses Scheme.
At the end of the war, the house was de-requisitioned. The National Trust again let it to tenants until 1960, when the Trust began the work to restore the house to a style reflecting its history. The house and grounds were opened to the public in 1962 and remain open under the name Blickling Hall, Garden & Park.
My channel on you tube : is one of the most prolific from Poland. I have produced around 1,800 original films, most in English. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects.
Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
My Royal Norfolk Show adventure 2018, Norfolk Showground Dereham Road Norwich UK
It was great to attend The Royal Norfolk Show in Norwich, where I enjoyed the many events, exhibitions, music and catch up with wonderful friends. The Royal Norfolk Show is an annual agricultural show, and is held by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association. It is the largest 2 day agricultural show in England, and has been held almost every year since 1847. I even joined in with a song and had a beer. It wasn't without drama when I lost my camera microphone.

Yoga Solstice for charity at Felbrigg Hall, Cromer, Norfolk. Raising funds for Epilepsy Research UK
It was an absolute pleasure to attend a fund-raising event for Ellen's memorial fund. The wonderful people at the Yoga Solstice raised £273.41p for Epilepsy Research UK. The event took place in spectacular scenic surroundings at Felbrigg Hall near Cromer, Norfolk. The evening was blessed with glorious evening sunshine that marked the longest day of the year. It was a race against time to squeeze everything in, however, found space to stop for a beer, that wasn't quite what I expected. Lots of other bits in between daily schedule and Papa was on form with his cooking in East Runton.

Autumn is a great time to be in Norfolk, whether it's having fun in the forests, taking long walks on our huge beaches, or enjoying some of the best food and drink you'll ever have - particularly our north Norfolk mussels and other shellfish.
