Watch this video to see what it is like to ski/snowboard on the Fellhorn mountain, just next to the village of Oberstdorf, Germany. The Fellhorn is part of the Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal ski area, partly in Germany and partly in Austria.

Footage shot on January 15, 2019. There was an insane amount of snow, and due to extreme snow fall, Fellhorn was closed the day before. I was lucky to be able to ski on fresly prepared slopes!

Wandern in Oberstdorf - Fellhorn und Kanzelwand

Die Wetterprognose war vielversprechend: Sonnig und Wolkenlos sollte der Tag werden. Auf den Bergen in 2.000 m Höhe waren 18 Grad an diesem strahlendem Oktobertag in Oberstdorf versprochen. So planten wir einen Tagesausflug auf das Fellhorn und die Kanzelwand. Mit dem Bus ging es unkompliziert vom Busbahnhof zur Talstation der Fellhornbahn. Eine halbe Stunde später standen wir auf dem Gipfel des Fellhorn und bewunderten die Aussicht. Unser nächstes Ziel war die Kanzelwand: Ein bischen Mut und Trittsicherheit waren hier schon erforderlich, um zum Gipfelkreuz zu gelangen. Nichts für ungeübte Spaziergänger. Nach einem Sonnenbad auf der Aussichtsterasse der Bergstation der Kanzelwandbahn ging es mit der Bergbahn hinunter ins Kleinwalsertal. Von dort brachte uns der Walserbus zurück nach Oberstdorf. Für die gesamte Tour werden ca. 5 Stunden benötigt incl. Fotostops und Pausen. Bis auf die Kanzelwandbesteigung sind die Wanderwege gut begehbar. Manchmal ein wenig steil, aber das gehört in den Bergen dazu. Ich empfehle Wanderstöcke für die Abstiege.
